I can use very good common sense on Russian + I live in a Slavic speaking country that means I can partially understand some stuff

I got the first 12 entries done already,also using the translator and some common sense.

This is what I got for the first entry,
''Just a strange noise I distinctly heard,as the dogs rush into the bushes to take cover.The case is made. As if it were not for the light.They know their business,the place will not remain quiet.Even the damned scar will not be a reminder of the ten months in the Zone,the desire to kill this creature is huge.Now when I look in the mirror I will not see their impoverished existence but horror in the eyes of the scum when they bother me today.With this view I leave for god knows how long.No explanations and entreaties to leave this life. A couple of seconds and silent thud shot.''

If you want then please continue from entry 12.
I am right now looking for this guy Leskinov who needs to get some extra dialogues.

edit:it just needs to be understandable,I am sure there are lots of small things that needs some adjusting or just being forgotten in the text folder but when I got that file then I post the rest as version 0.7 and hope when we reach version 1.0 it is all good.

another edit:the sleeping bag also needs translation,

Have you translated the private file yet.

I was looking at it myself using Google translator and wiki and other resources and its tough cause you have to put everything in context.

I have the first part done (private 1) I could post it if you want and if you think its good enough, I will try tackle the rest.

I dont know what I am doing so I only do the text folder.

As for the mod,it seems to be all about the new PDA and and what is stored in it.There is lots of info,stories and history of the Zone in it.
You can easily been reading for an hour and then you only have been reading less then half of it.

The .script files are fairly easy to translate, as long as you're careful and you know what you're doing. Just open them with Notepad or equivalent and look for lines that doesn't look like scripts.

As for the mod, the way you put it, it looks pretty neat, but I don't like how they reversed some animations (e.g. gun positions while you're running) back to their SoC counterparts.

I also have a hard time understanding translators but there are the 3 main reasons why I want to play this mod,
1.Cut out mutants
2.Extra PDA with lots of info about the Zone.
3.If I have understand it correct they have rewritten the last level giving the ending a new experience and freeplay afterwards.

I only been testing the Swamps and one small trip to Cordon and already have seen some nice stuff like,
-making your own music with a guitar or harmonica and a radio that can recieve things.
-The war in the swamps has extended and you can help and recieve rewards for it.
-New dialogues for NPC's
-second PDA which stores info about things you find in the Zone
-sleeping bag
-extra mutants and mutant parts
-clock is onscreen for time
-carry guns on bases
-indicators onscreen for hunger,radiation,PSI etc..

They also added extra armour/suits in the game and the hospital level is showing on the main map.
The mod also shows names for the locations if you hoover your mouse over that location.

I dont know how to translate .script files and couldnt find any text in the gameplay folder that I could translate but will check that folder again this evening.

I can play it like this,I got 12 entries in the diary properly translated and can live with those 2 russian pop ups but I dont think its good enough to share it with the community which I wanted to do this weekend,anybody can understand those 2 pop ups but the diary needs a proper translation to be understandable.Translators arent helping me with that because its still acracadabra but with english letters
