The code is ok, it just doesn't affect you getting a capture/eliminate task. It just prevents squads from attacking those places. I'll give it a look later, and see which part is responsible for tasking the player.
Ah, I see. I had, for some mysterious reason, assumed that making squads uninterested in those locations would also prevent the game from assigning them to the player, but of course, one good look at the rest of the code would have revealed otherwise.
Anyway, I re-tested the code you posted and it indeed works -- no squads went to the Southern Farmstead at expansion 0 but some did go there at expansion 2; exactly as it is supposed to be. It is still annoying that those smarts get assigned to the player though; so if you could take a look as you said you would, then that would really be a big help.
PS: On a completely unrelated note, have you managed to fix the game sometimes not displaying corpses on the mini-map? It seems like the game randomly refuses to register corpses even after fixing the wonky corpse cleanup timer in release_body_manager.script. At first I thought these issues might be related but I have since learned better of it.
