The Warmongers: new 2_0 release in the making
A brand new 2_0 version of The Warmongers mod is currently being worked on. This will be a massive update to the latest 1_0036 patch, making the mod even bigger, more interesting, playable (and replayable), and obviously more stable.
This enhanced 2_0 version is quite long to be made, but I haven't given up hope to release it somewhere around Christmas.
Basically, 2_0 will aim at:
- Replacing several (about ten) weapon skins with totally new weapons
- Making many more weapons upgradables and thus less useless in the long run
- Making the faction war to go further (specially fixing the Duty and Freedom squads fighting forever in the Garbage)
- Making it technically possible to actually erase the mutants from a map, and even from the Zone (it will be *very* hard and long to do, but still...)
- Fixing the scopes for high-resolutions screens
- Adding few new items and weapons
- Adding few visual tweaks
- Adding several fixes and improvements ( for example, actually fix the Bandits turning enemy to the actor during the events in Limansk, which the latest patch didn't do despite its claims! )
I will eventually post more precise news later on. |

Good luck with the upcoming release. It should come in just after I finish the first mod.

Since you're posting here, I remember something you said in the other thread, so here are two little other arrangements that will come in v 2_0:
- The special ammunition used by certain very rare weapons (excepted the M60 and Minigun) will be less hard to find.
- The content of the secret stashes that certain characters offer you will really worth the effort. They will maybe include certain unique items. Prices will obviously be edited accordingly. |

I'm currently giving nearly 95% of my free time to make it as good as I want it to be, and also to release it for Christmas. But certain changes take long to be made, and I want every new feature to be absolutely clean and well-thought. |
