I have not downloaded it yet, The translation is by a gent on moddb who contacted me about doing them, He is working on it, It is his first one.

I will be downloading it at some point soon so maybe you could let us know what you think of it

Latest translation

Gonna take a break from translating this mod so you guys can probably continue it. Here's the latest translation

A lot of them are google translated. The only files that are not translated are actor_need_help.script and smart_terrain_names.xml.

Updated translation...

I made changes and additions to Leet Hax0r's last translation.
(link in the downloads topic)

Added more files.
Worked the GSC translations into some files.
Re-did many machine translations to deal with a recurrent problem in the Russian text. If a period isn't followed by a space, it breaks the Google translation at that point.

Two remaining issues...
1) Smart terrain names in the Marsh appear in Russian although they have been translated. Trying to track that down.
2) About half of the random on-screen news messages still appear in Russian. I haven't found the source of that.

Much of the machine translation now makes sense although some is still nonsense.

Fixou,

Probably not a spoiler since this is how you start the main quest and there is no map marker.

See the message on screen. Milutin, the scientist who gives you the main quest, is in the tunnel directly across the river from where you exit the cave. All you need to do is to survive long enough to get to him.

Use all of the conversation options with Milutin and read all of the documents to learn as much as possible. And there are many documents in other locations. The documents have a great backstory and provide considerable information.

The game appears to be before Clear Sky. Is Zmeelov the same person as Scar? The dialog at game end suggests this.

You asked about the mod.

Interesting... great story. Designed to be difficult. It's worth reading the developer's documents. They are in a folder under gamedata.

It can be hard. The developer said that you can get through the hospital with a couple of thousand rounds and about 3 dozen grenades. <g>

I find the health and energy bar modifications irritating.

And the visual and auditory effects every few seconds are irritating. Is this Atmosphere? I would prefer a quieter environment.

And it has some clever features such as the car and squad options. The squad screen is hard to read because of the combination of the background texture and the text color.

There is no quicksave option and the game makes periodic autosaves. The developer docs specify when. You can make normal gamesaves and I advise doing so as an alternative to quicksaves.

Also... The sleeping bag is not working. I use it, wake up, and no time has passed.

Thanks, I downloaded it and plan on having a decent look at it. I just tried it quickly and over in the tunnel I got very confused and lost about exactly what I'm meant to do next so I guess I need to restart and slowly read through it all. There's a lot of dialog over there.

You need to buy a Veles from the scientist roaming the marsh.

Then you need to collect...
Each of the artifact types (24 x3 each) (the 24th is Compass)
Parts from each mutant types (16 x3 each)
Recorder from each area (12 total)
Put the collected items in the stash backpack (which is on the ground next to the sofa near Milutin).

Still not sure about this mod. Might have broken it last night.
