Just picked this up tonight, and it's freaking insane. After the first blowout, the game had me all set to go participate in the war with renegades at around 1 am. I didn't think much of it. The moment I spawned out in the swamps, I was surrounded by 4 pigs, a chimera, 2 boars, and a large handful of cats. I had to run (picking up more boars and cats on the way) and found the base of a tower half surrounded by pipes to stand on and pick a few off. I ended up having to knife the chimera, all the pigs, and a couple boars. I've actually never bothered trying to take on mutants with a knife before. To jump straight into such a clusterfuck was quite an experience.

Feeling a bit more confident, I went to assault my first renegade outpost. As I was up close & personal with that dinky little sidearm shotgun, a controller showed up and started mind blasting me from way out in the water. Cover didn't help, because of his passive psi damage. I had to abandon the assault and run. As soon as I got away from that, the only Clear Sky outpost was attacked and only had two guys left by the time I got there. The base was overrun and I was forced out.

I found myself completely stranded out in the swamps. With still nothing but a couple sawed offs and plenty of shells to spare. No bandages or medkits left. The renegades were still on high alert, so I stood no chance of approaching. I found a safe looking patch of dirt and slept.

Upon waking, I snuck my way closer to the outpost again, and happened across a dead renegade with a TOZ. Finally having a little range at my disposal, I snuck my way to a good position and engaged. After I'd killed about half the enemy and lost about 3/4 of my health to minor grazes, the cavalry came in and swept up the rest.

I fiddled with my inventory and headed back out to that outpost with the controller. I found him waiting inside where I easily got in close and applied 3 quick stabs to the face. Went back to base and made a bunch of money. Am already broke again.

So far everything's felt pretty epic without getting frusterating. It seems you've nailed just the difficulty level I need. If it stays this way, I'll be impressed.

Only one complaint. I've got a wife and kids, and it would really suck for them to walk in when an NPC happens to have a computer in the room. Is there any way I can remove the softcore?

just delete the character_voice folder.

Hello and TY for kind words.
the files wich are for takeing away the speaking is from
notes(All NPC Speak Russian\Ukrain, exept for Freedom, Clear Sky and a few NPC's.)
wich is from Creator of Russian Audio Mod (Full Version).
so i suggest deleting all those files, from sound file wich are in the mod mentioned.

Well, next release is a patch"Beta v0.8 - v0.9"
it addreses many issues and unbalances wich a few testers reported to me, all those stomped out, plus extra things and many rebalancing and overhauls.

release date, well so far not sure, the way im crushing these glitches and stuff, il say 3 to 4 days. aand you heard that here 1st

It`s fixed now !!

Thanks to everyone and i finally fixed, i just installed the game in english...

By the way This mod is AWESOME, The best out there for Clear Sky, of course is a little unbalanced but is not a big problem, i guest the final version will be more balanced.

Is a BLAST !!!

It's sort of a vanilla bug - in the vanilla game, you just can't sprint with the RPG, I've tried. When you enabled it in your mod, but didn't add an animation to go with it (even if you just use the default walking anim) it created the problem... I think. Also: I thought your mod said that money was balanced so that you didn't have too much in the beginning, etc? I've got WAAAY more money than I need to spend, and I'm barely out of Cordon. It was the same way while I was in the swamps... the bandits are dropping PKM's which are selling for like 5k each, so money is flowing.

Also, all the military guys in cordon that you fight are using SPAS shotties, which pretty much makes them as harmless as kittens to my rifle... maybe give them AK's so they're actually a challenge?

yup, all noted, i added the walk one to sprint, np so far, but there is a big chance im going to disable sprint in RPG, but np so far.

the money thing, soz about that all fixed in next patch, i mixed up files with test ones by mistake(long nights you see)
and with military, its been brought to my attention few days back, and its fixed in patch, amoung many things, i didnt do full test, i mainly was concerned about crashes and stuff like that, sort of dead tyred by time i got to those parts, its my fault, i set a deadline and was rushing, no deadline in next patch, and all reports from testers are corrected, includeing about. the non-english glitches im not touching (yet) because my mod is English version.
but has beta stuff tests for other, wich is incomplete, i 1st want to fix the english to full, before doing the other ones.
