I got another problem.. Bloodsucker got stuck in a spot, won't reveal itself to attack, and i couldn't complete a quest without killing it. Spartan can you tweak the bloodsucker's invisible status not to be invincible ??

i know, the looting is a headache, my guess its simple when you know, but hard if you dont.
i myself am very close to fully removeing it from the mod.
i might actaully if i dont figuer it out say in few days.
that in turn will cause me to over haul few things, example item drops and stuff(wich i havnt tweaked yet, but have planned)

i added looting , thinking it was a perfected mod, but it aint, and probs from Soc also with it.

problem is, il leave it in, till it gets to much, its already causeing probs with certain scripts.

oh well. il see.

I know you're busy, plenty busy.. I appreciate your hard work, the mod and of course, the individual attention to issues such as mine and others who have asked/needed..

BTW.. probably not what you want to hear but, I finally had been playing with the looting disabled.. While when I first played mods with it, I thought it was pretty cool.. but.. the coolness factor died off pretty quickly (although I'm still in awe of whoever wrote the original text for the script.. it's a piece of work that must have taken a while!). I did disable looting for a couple reasons.. First was it was effecting story line tasks too much.. if a pile of bodies was laying around, the NPC's had nothing to do with the game tasks until the bodies were looted.. Another is that it became an easy snipers turkey shoot..You could sit 150 years/meters away, pick off one enemy NPC and as each of the others comes in slow, into the open, pick them off one by one.. Doing this at the military cordon base is almost comical to be honest! Lastly, heck, I shot the NPC/Monster bastard, I *should* get the reaps of the reward from what they are carrying, not some dood with a single Mak pistol and a half mag of rounds for it.. With looting, unless you do as the NPC's do, and in the middle of battle start looting, by the time you get things quiet and cleared out, a good percentage of the looting already took place.. even more so if it is a couple squad doing so..

Anyway.. JMHO and again, you're probably not wanting to hear about how I'm already making changes to your awesome mod but for the reasons above, I felt justified to tweak it to my needs.. Just like with the Squad map Icons.. As I mentioned earlier, I just had to bring those back because it was driving me nuts w/out them, even more so in the first few maps when squad teamwork is pretty important and part of the game story line..

By no means feel singled out Spartan, It's not just your mod, I do the same with the looting on any of the other mods I've played (both CS & SoC) that have looting implemented into it..

example, it once gave me a clear sky error, lau of some sort, but the problem was extra monters in monsters scripts.

Spartan;

Any luck by chance finding out a cause and/or fix on the recent CTD's I had posted the logs about?

It kinda sucks.. I'm pretty far into the game, got all my stashes, etc and can'5 go beyond that point of the mugging.

Even if you just have a possible or experimental quick fix for them, I'd be more than happy to give it a shot.. Certainly couldn't be worse than sitting in the bottom of the swap meet shack unable to go anywhere w/out an instant CTD..

BTW... when looking at the larger file in the crash files bundle, I'm still seeing quite a few missing and invalid .ogg files (sound files, correct?).. I can see that the files exist in the Gamedata folder but for some reason, it is not able to find to correct path to them.. One a good point though, I hadn't seen the "Parent/Child" issues that I did with the original B-8 release.. I can post (or email mat be better.. it's a huge/large file, probably 500-1000 lines long) if you like but for the most part, it looks to be the same list that was on my earlier posting when commenting on Beta-8 so you could take a look at it again and see if you can think of anything to fix some of the logged errors.. (While they *may* be a small part of other crashes, they don't seem to be causing CTD's on their own but as picky as the game files are, it probably isn't doing your mod too much good with them standing out as errors by the game engine)

im smokeing more than a hippie, these days, hahaha

my guess is we all get "hippie moments"

in the game, i sort of left the freedom faction as like the stalkers(faction)
but freedom is a touch more beefed up.
as for there rivals, DUTY. they are what we call in greek"pouromenos"
very eger and highly motavated(so they will be slightly more armed than Freedom, or Duty is sort of equal to clearsky, but because of advancment balance, it seems duty is to armed comperaed to clear sky guys.
but there all minor tweaks and heaps of planning.

but its all funny stuff

Freedom are pretty damn violent hippies ... Honestly I really don't see an anti-gun or even pacifist mindset in them. They preach peace, but they're also willing (eager, even) to fight viciously for their definition of it. Their tech even specializes in snipers... cold, efficient, impersonal killing.

Freedom are part of that hippie mentality.
but, there higher ranks are armed very well, but i wil give them "slings"
