This is for general discussion about OGSM. Anything related to my most recent translation can go in the "OGSM translation" thread.

Here are the main changes in OGSM (taken from their main website), but there is also so much more:

• New and exciting gaming experience: Now fight monsters through the Pripyat Underground to get to the NPP! All cut mutants and mutant parts added back into the game. Once the game is finished you are free to explore the zone and pick up endless quests in freeplay. You may be able to find unique weapons/armors or secret documents telling mysteries of the Zone as well!

• New graphics and visual effects: More than 100 new visuals for NPCs, New PDA, new items, revised in-game interface with numerous options for the HUD, visual effects of critical injuries and the impact of psy-monsters, new icons and elements for the HUD, improved shaders and textures.

• Improved sound: Three variants of dynamic music, NPC's play guitar and harmonica, improved monster sounds, weapons, items, etc...

• Numerous bug fixes and increased stability of the game.

The most recent version of the mod is located in the downloads section (OGSM Eng Translation Ver. 1.0) along with my translation, go to page 2.

Thanks for all the great feedback about my translation and the mod in general. It is a very underrated mod and I hope more people find out about this little gem!!

Hey, i've been playing this mod and I really enjoy it, but is there a way to make the enemy less bullet spongey? Some of the mutants take about 3 full magdumps with an AK to kill even on Master and its a little annoying to watch a single boar massacre entire squads.

EDIT: Nevermind, found some info on the MISERY forums. If you want to edit enemy damages, find the health_hit_part line in each .ltx (eg: m_stalker.ltx) file inside gamedata/config/creatures and change it up or down depending on whether you want them stronger or weaker (Up = Weaker, Down = Stronger).

Weird

I seam to be getting some weird bugs such as flickering shadows and blocks of green in the Clear Sky Base which i assume is a developer texture that isn't hidden properly like the trigger texture for source also the messages or alerts seam to be for a 4:3 resolution not my 16:10 and i can see the polygons on the boars for god knows what reason.

Slaughter Task (Marshes)

I have managed to find the pda's, can anyone give me a hint as to where
the stick is ?, or the document ?. any help appreciated.

Is anyone actually playing this Mod ? there doesn't seem to be any response to any
queries. I'm stuck in the swamps with the constant "Resolve issues with Slaughter" and
cant progress. when you speak to Slaughter there is no dialog.

What about random Blowouts? Someone did mention they stopped at one point, then seemed to start up again.

Went all they way to NPP

I have played this mod all the way thru to the NPP. The only problem that I have encountered is that at the end I'm supposed to kill Stralok with the Gauess rifle that I don't have. In vanilla the guy in the NPP gives you both the gauess rifle and the FN2000 before you try to chase down and kill stralok, in the mod he does not give you either. Is that the way it's sapposed to be?

P.S. I have not encountered any looting, other than the Bandits at the Barrier.

Does this mod feature looting or not? And what about the distinct lack of Blowouts despite my selecting as appropriate in the installer? Simple questions...

When random Blowouts, which are meant to happen, do not...it leaves me to believe the mod isn't too stable (Clear Sky itself is causing some issues, most likely), and I wonder what might go wrong next.

EDIT: Absolutely no support for this mod anymore then...uninstall it I shall.
