replacing pistol with any weapon

is there a mod at all, or is it possible to replace the pistol slot with any weapon like in call of pripyat. since playing stalker cop i have been spoilt with having 2 weapons, whereas im now playing stalker cs with clear sky complete and its really bugging me having to swap between sniper and shotgun all the time.

Its coded. Some expert scripters could probably do it if they worked together, but maybe not.

look at how i did it in my smrter zone mod (check configs\ui and textures\ui folders), i only finished it for 4:3 resolution back then and haven't touched csky in about a year, but you'll get an idea on how it can be done without any scripting.

But you just made weapons that go in the different slots(In the begining, you get the ak(goes in pistol slot) then the pistol(in primary weapon spot))

I have a feeling its hardcoded into the game engine. It would be possible to use smrtphoneusr inventory and ui setup, and configure shotguns to have the same slot usage as pistols, hence you could have pistols/shotguns in one slot, and sniper/assault rifles/machine guns in the other. Not the best solution, but it works.

That does seem pretty good. If i could get the coridinates to where to put the pistol slot i might do this.

Be better off asking smrtphoneusr for the required files, though it could probably be filtered out, and then changind the shotgun weapon ltx slot variable to the same as the pistol.

But as for any weapons in slots, its not possible in CS due to engine limitations.

I've got smrtr, but I don't like the red inventory. I want a clear one like decanes clean ui. I'll see what I can od about that.
