Can you recommend any mods that add more mutants to the game?

I think there are too few mutants in clear sky (especially in earlier levels like swamps, cordon and garbage). It makes the game far too hospitable, especially if you don't join any faction other than clear sky (with bandits being neutral and all that). It makes, for example, going through cordon literally like a "walk in the park" rather than an extremely dangerous part of the world where deadly mutants rip you to shreds and outlaws kill you for money and artefacts.

So, I've been looking for a mod that adds more mutants, to make the clear sky world a more dangerous place. So far I've found "faction commander 1.5 cut pack", but since I'm using faction commander 2.5, I don't think they are compatible. I've also found a couple of overhauls that add more mutant types, but I'm running too many mods and they are incompatible. Besides, I'm not sure if they actually raise the number of mutants in the game or just add more mutant types.

So, any recommendations? Preferably not a massive overhaul mod because I'm already running quite a few mods, so there might be lots of incompatibilities. Thanks

Well.... the Spartan mod makes the game world extremely dangerous and mutants deadly, I struggled to get through the swamp, there would be situations where me and Clear Sky Troops would take an area, only to get completly wiped out by mutants during the night.

Try it, its deadly.


EDIT: And yes, it adds in all the cut mutants.

And they are like the name suggests small mods.

It might not raise the quantity of mutants but you may be able to tweak its files to increase the amount of these mutants spawned, meaning lots of chimera's and Burer's which is a step in the right direction.

Yeah, that's a good mod; and small too. Thanks for that suggestion. I'll add it because even if it doesn't increase the mutant quantity (which is what I want), it's still nice to have a greater variety of mutants. Regarding tweaking it... well I've already tried my hand at modding stalking and failed miserably... maybe it's time for a second try?

Anyway, this is what I noticed in the warmongers mod thread:

Sounds like just what I'm looking for, except that it's a major overhaul mod, so it means I'll have to uninstall most of my current mods. It looks really good though, so I think I'll give it a try.

Ok, I checked it out. It's a major overhaul though, so it means I probably won't be able to run faction commander 2.5.1 any more. Since I really like good faction wars (especially if factions behave intelligently and are more active than they are in vanilla), how do you think faction wars in the Spartan mod compares to that of faction commander or the upcoming warmongers mod?
