lol, your installation instructions give faulty information, you don't need to change the fsdata file. Doesn't hurt anything, but there's no reason to go messing with it, either. (I play with mine still at true|false, and my mods work)

That aside, the description looks interesting. Might give it a try.

the fsgame thing was changed in one of the patches (04 iirc) but before that you had to edit the line. That said, the mod looks great on both CS and CoP.

Looks good. Thanks. Do you know how to fix the sunset at sunrise/sunrise at sunset issue? The sun itself is positioned correctly but for some reason the sky is vibrant to the east at sunset and west at sunrise. Odd bug. You'd think a couple values just need to be reversed but after looking at the files I haven't the faintest clue....

Opposite sunrise/sunset and their times are hardcoded in XRay engine. There are no config files that can change that. This is how the Zone is. Period

Looks cool. I just started playing Clear Sky and the first thing I noticed was the ground textures seemed very low res

I haven't used this mod yet, but does it improve ground textures?

I'd like to see some comparison screenshots. The screenshots you have on your website are your mod ones. I'd like to see some comparisons of mod vs original screenshots

This isn't a texture mod, AFAIK the only textures it adds/changes are skyboxes.

True, it adds textures for sky-boxes only. I took my screenshots with some other mods installed.

Actually it is almost complete. Probably it will be v1.2 (skipping 1.1) with new horizon line rendered and possibly blowout expansion.

Aw ok. The description talked about 50 new textures or something, but I didn't realise it was sky only. Maybe you could specify that?

What texture mods are you using? I'm really wanting to find some good ones.

AtmosFear v.1.3 for Clear Sky released

New version of AtmosFear for CS has been released.
I've decided to skip announced 1.2 as this version is adopted from AF 1.3 for CoP. They are pretty much the same.
The diffrence is in new horizon line created especially for CS and altered blowout sequence.

You've made me play Clear Sky again, Cromm Cruac! This mod (along with the Absolute Textures packs) changes it completely and I love it. Also, is there supposed to be a large performance hit from 1.3 because before when I used 1.0 it seemed smoother. Could this be due to the high resolution textures?

Yeah, I wanted to play CS again with Total Factional Warfare and I couldn't stand how ugly the AtmosFear 1.0 was
So I adapted AF 1.3 from CoP and ATPs

There could be a performance hit as there is more textures to load especially when you use hi-res textures.
It shouldn't be big though.

Forget what I said about the performance hit. I had the -smap4096 command enabled which affected pretty much every shadow on screen. I took it off and now everything is very smooth and it looks amazing!

I am currently playing 'atmosfear_cs_1.3_complete'.

It is a lot of fun and there is no performance hit nor lag nor stutter for me.

Nice work!!

One question though, could other mods be use with it such as a vehicle mod, weapons mod or weather mod?

Simple yet brilliant mod mate! It does a good job of adding to the atmosphere (lol, geddit). One thing I would like to ask though: Is it possible for the blowouts from the CoP version of Atmosfear to be added with the blowout waves etc? IMO, they make blowouts great fun.

As a side note - I'll be adding compatibility with the new version of AAO for AF . . . it's still a little ways off, though.

First, though, I gotta get around this out of memory errors I've been running into after installing AF - I guess I might have to cut out the weapon skins

I haven't look at this part of the forum for a long time so sorry for late answer.

Although the config files are almost exactly the same it require re-rendering and re-editing all sky textures. CS sky-box is just half height of the CoP sky-box and all textures ported directly from CoP would appear squashed.
As I am pretty busy at work so AF2.1 for CS most likely won't happen

Another thing is xRay memory management. V1.6 used in CoP is much better and yet still causing a lot of problems for some people.

Pretty sure that message is what you get when two errors occur simultaneously, so it's pretty hard to know what's going wrong.

Since it seems to stem from the renderer you might want to try running Driver Sweeper and doing a clean install of the latest stable video drivers for your card.

Also, I noticed you seem to be using a TFW autosave, what mods are you using exactly?

First, AtmosFear has not been designed to use with static lighting renderer (xrRender_R1). Still it should work fine.

Second, bernie_3_tfw_autosave is a save from Total Factional Warfare. You can't load it without this mod. You need to start new game.

Haven't you mistaken Absolute Nature for AtmosFear?. 'rotten' style is a part of Absolute Nature Texture Pack.

AtmosFear 3 will have the same look as for CoP. You can of course incorporate it to TFW. I've actually hoped that you would like to do it so I wouldn't need to

AF3 is easy configurable and you can set more 'autumny' feel with more fog/rain.

The sun positions and the day/night length is set for the late summer (15 Aug) but we can consider making a special version for TFW with shorter days. It is possible now as the sun position is set in the configs. It might require some sky textures to be realigned and re-rendered though.

Ahh, yes! I indeed confused the two mods. No matter, I naturally would like to replace the current TFW + AF2 merger with AF3. If you think you'd be able to somehow tweak AF3 weather/day cycle to resemble autumn even more, then I would really appreciate it. I can set all the other options such as good/bad weather frequency myself, as I modified the weather script quite extensively.
