H-D-AO problem on Radeon GPUs

No problem with H-B-AO.
With NVidia GPUs the problem is very less pronounced.
Can it be fixed in the next SRP release?

I have AMD but never experienced that.

HDAO is for amd and HBAO for nvidia, right ?

Not exactly: that is a myth.

HDAO uses compute shaders.
HBAO doesn't.

*HDAO is better performing if you have compute shader support in your GPU. Otherwise (D3D9 GPUs) it is working but is more cumbersome than HBAO.

*HBAO+ is a fullframe resolution HBAO (and I think you can enable it in CS and COP with "r2_ssao_half_data off" -> OFF). It doesn't need compute shaders support to be optimized.

*HDAO and HBAO create different indirect lighiting shadows. So you can't compare them.

Problem is: HBAO is working correctly in CS with the last drivers, but HDAO only on NVidia GPUs. With my Radeon HD 7850 the strange result is above.

In clear sky the game simply dont know wich computing method to use...
So they simply disable HDAO OR HBAO and let the shaders do their job...

In your user.ltx change your with these below and it will fix it, I have the same issue!!!

r2_ssao st_opt_high
r2_ssao_blur off
r2_ssao_half_data on
r2_ssao_hbao off
r2_ssao_hdao off
r2_ssao_opt_data off

Like I said in previous post. The game support both HDAO and HBAO, but those codes are very badly done. So they leave only SSAO but with shader post process effect. When you enable it via the game, or console you will receive graphic glitch that creates those codes!!!
