I've only played a little bit of this but it runs great, I see a higher FPS in Clear Sky base than I've ever seen before. Looks great, plays smooth, controls and movement feel better somehow.

Sometimes it seems like the enemies are bullet-sponge but I need to put more time in to figure out if I want to change anything. About to go play some more now!

Curious about V3 but checking reviews on ap-pro.ru it seems there are a lot of people that prefer V2

Clear Sky Time For Change v2.0

I am quite liking this mod at the moment, runs great and such. I do have a few questions though, but haven't yet left the swamp.

Probable SPOILERS below, so read at your own risk :

Hopefully my install wasn't bugged, as all stashes are populated without getting the coordinates first. I found this by just wandering around and generally being curious. Also, the contents are usually quite generous, even while playing on the highest difficulty.

Another point : The usual 'get flash drives' quest for the first mechanic, does it end? I've received the one as a reward from the Clear Sky trader after killing the boars at the start ( which the Tech doesn't seem to want, no idea why ), and found several ( three so far ) labeled as something around 'Exoskeleton Upgrade', I think all have the same description.

Something else : I've found a few PDAs, and neither the Trader, Leader, Bar Tender, or normal Clear Sky members will buy them. Maybe they're used later.

Last : I always look through the 'stalkers_upgarde_info.ltx' file ( spoiler, I know ), and it says the Clear Sky tech can upgrade the Saiga with it being on the list and all, but he doesn't I'm guessing as there is no upgrade tree listed farther down like seen with the Groza, FN2000, or PKM.

Over all, great mod so far, only the rare crash regarding memory.

Now I'm curious about version 3 of this, so thanks for the V2 translation.

Yes, stashes do seem to be all populated.

I'm not all that far in the game yet (Cordon) but it seems that:

-Ammo, items, firearms are very easy to come by
-Faction war seems toned down or easier?
-Performance is fantastic and it looks great
-Some new weapons
-Trading seems kind of broken or unbalanced, you can sell firearms to other stalkers for high prices. Basically you can get 5,000r from every stalker you meet hocking weapons

Like I said, I'm not far in the game and I already have 200,000 rubles, a decent artifact loadout, choice of many weapons including an FN Fal. I have a stalker suit but could definitely afford an EXO which Sid sells...

I'm curious what the mod adds, it's been too long since I played stock but it doesn't seem like there are new quests yet?

The ai isn't that great, might be stock

I like the mod and it's automatically enjoyable simply because it runs so well, but I wonder if it's going to get more difficult or if I need to start modding it to get what I want?

Just out of cruising around, I got ( for free via stash ) one if not the best Clear Sky suit, the one with the large visor. Check stashes around the Renegade-held machine yard.

For me, not long after I clear it or other places, the Renegades spawn nearby and wipe out the Clear Sky guys with apparent ease, probably because the sawn-off Toz 66 is more powerful than the Saiga, or Toz 34. Using a Toz 66 myself, the reload is slow though, and its very accurate with buckshot.

Also, selling guns to the barkeep netted me about ten to fifteen percent more than the regular trader, so about the same as regular stalkers. He'll also buy more things.

This mod is pretty easy so far, my first artifact was a Gravi.. and I didn't need my detector out, it was just sitting there, moving about on the ground at the start of the first intro mission.

If you'd like to do a re-balance patch or something, I'll give it a try. The economy seems too easy, and the stashes too useful for this mod to be really challenging.

Still fun though, thanks for the info.

Yeah, I'm considering doing that, already made some difficulty tweaks. Also, sight-alignment seems to be a big problems. I'm not sure why so many mods have misaligned 16x9 sights? Is it a technical thing with differences from computer to computer? I don't know how you could release a mod without that being tested?

Fixing the pimped out FN FAL with the EOTech sight right now, but the MP5A2 and others also need to be fixed.

Yeah, a lot of the guns need balancing.The prices of everything needs balancing, for example some artifacts that are better than others sell for much less..

I also had problems where the transition to X18 would trigger outside of the factory, preventing me from walking around the building to kill the guys in the back, also leaving X18 from the basement you trigger the transition to X18...

I'm enjoying the mod a lot because it runs so great for me, but it seems to need some patching. I'm trying to fix things as I go and may drop a patch here, but it depends on how many more problems I find.
