I was recently playing the Faction Wars Mod, and I believe they enabled some of the greetings/responses that were not used in the regular game release, like what Bobbq was mentioning.

I had a squad attacking a Bandit squad at a checkpoint. I was away from the action a bit, but could tell my squad failed, because over the radio this Bandit message with voice popped up:

"He came, he saw, he sucked major c*ck! Muhahahaha"

I was shocked and humored at the same time.

Nope, thats vanilla.

Spend a lot of time in one area (the garbage is a good place), and you'll hear a lot of different phrases from the different factions.

Woah, that IS in vanilla?

I think I'll have to roam around the garbage a bit as you suggested, hopefully I'll hear even more new phrases that I haven't heard yet.

I love it when I'm sneaking up to enemies with the Loners, and just before they/we attack, one of the loners yells out "Go Stalkers! Take 'em down!"
Not really humorous or extraordinary, but it always seems to give me a little bump of excitement...like I'm in the A-Team or something like that lol.

Can't remember which faction, but some squad leaders admonish their squads not to open fire until they give the order, but then the poorly disciplined squads are unable to restrain themselves and fire away anyway.

You mean puppies?

BobBQ:

Going by what's in the data archives, half of the greeting phrases in the game aren't even used.
---END QUOTATION---

It seems that for every new game I start, I hear phrases (often background chatting) that I can swear I've never heard in previous games. Could it be that the game shuffles such files in every new gamestart?
