The "Twilight Zone" is the name given by players to such parts of a level that are normally fenced off from the player. Please see earlier posts in this thread (and others) about how to enter these areas, and about the hidden level changers that are found there.

OK figured that out thanks...
So I managed to just enter Cordon (officially) from the army checkpoint area ... I just talked to Sidrovitch and then I was on my own lol

Now I am at the Army warehouses and trying to collect some artifacts and if I'm lucky someone would ask for the Flame artifact and reward me with a G36

Skipping the first mission

Got a herd of Boars to chase me into the Fishing Hamlet, but alas the CS members killed them without any losses.

Most of the time I've been sneaking around Renegade camps, trying to steal whatever I can. Unfortunately the Renegades are very vigilant, but I did manage to get inside a couple of the buildings at the Southern Farmstead undetected, as well as the house next to the Church.

In other camps I've made the Renegades chase me in one direction, then circle around and move into the camp from the other side. That way I have been able to complete some CS side missions, like fetching the AKM from the north-western Renegade camp and delivering 5.45mm ammo stolen from the Machine yard.

Not sure how long I'll survive this way. The Fishing Hamlet supply box spawns more than enough ammo, but I'm currently down to just two medkits and two bandages, and all the easily accessible crates on the map are long gone. Maybe I could trade surplus ammo or artifacts with the CS NPCs in return for bandages to keep me alive a few days more.

can I ignore everything from now and head wherever I want ? let's sat Army warehouses or red forest ?
Using the "Twilight Zone" level changers, yes.

and how if I can see the arrows from map to map ?
There aren't any, so you must experiment. Be careful to make manual saves, otherwise the game might trap you in an invisible corridor where the only way forward is back into the Swamps again, so hat you must walk all the way around the Swamps map again.

From Swamps I usually end up in Red Forest, on the Limansk side. Then I cross the river some distance away from the raised bridge (where the water doesn't kill you) and make it to Yantar (or Army Warehouses, if you prefer that).

In Yantar you can approach the hidden level changers from the north (not sure if you can survive Yantar's psy fields without a proper suit, though). Here's a drawing of its level changers made by someone else, make sure to print it out: http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/895/yantarchangerje8.jpg (not shown: Garbage is between Cordon and Dark Valley, and Red Forest is between Agroprom and Army Warehouses).

I need that G36 badly lol
Bandits will give you one too, as a reward for conquering the Loner base...

Thanks ...
Please forgive my noobness here , what is "Twilight Zone" level changers ?

Yes I need the G36 , but not from Bandits ! I know that Flame artifact given to somebody in Army warehouses would gift you with it .. I did that already in my previous playthrough ...

At first I escaped from the Swamps through the Twilight Zone, as usual in this kind of game, but that makes the rest of the playing too easy due to all the powerful equipment you can find in especially Agroprom. So I decided to go back to my save right after the emission and stay in the Swamps as long as possible.

In the Swamps you often encounter single Boars that spawn in the bushes right next to you. It seems those Boars are not as limited to a certain area as other mutant groups, instead they can run over larger distances. Perhaps you could even chase one of these into a Renegade camp to get some action?

If all else fails maybe I could kill some Clear Sky members, but it would feel a little out of character.

If the Marshes was the only level that could be some fun.

Skipping the first mission

Bump!

Now that I know it's possible to skip the first mission it's really hard not to it in every single new game.

One nice consequence of being a renegade from Clear Sky is that you can roam the Swamps as they looked before Clear Sky started driving away the Renegades. I'm currently tip-toeing around with my very inadequate leather suit, trying to find whatever loot is available.

Artifact hunting seems very difficult, either the anomalies are too dangerous or there are Renegade camps too close. I don't want to shoot any Renegades, instead I sneak close to their camps undetected and try to steal scraps from them.

A few stashes have been activated from looting dead NPCs, but I'm not sure how to get more without killing someone. Mutants seem to stay away from both Clear Sky and Renegades so far, so no casualties that way either.

That's probably why my Loners aren't successful in Garbage. I allow
all the Bandits to survive and operate the Concentration Camp. They
actually don't harm anyone there and are a good source of supplies.
Freedom and Duty show no interest in changing anything there too.
