Hi all,

I think I found a bug in SRP v0.6 BETA which causes my game to CTD consistently.

I did some research on my CTD's and analyzed the error logs.

It looks like there is a bug in \gamedata\configs\weapons\w_spas12.ltx.

It contains the line: snd_shoot = weapons\n_spas_shot

As far as I can see in both the 1.5.0.8 unpacked files and in the SRP v0.6 BETA files, there is no n_spas_shot.ogg. It is called n_spas12_shot.ogg.

I fixed my CTDs by changing the line to: snd_shoot = weapons\n_spas12_shot


Thanks for the good effort with the mod.

Hey burger, can you send me the wide screen ironsights fix you made? i want to integrate the values with the existing 4:3 values already in the SRP.

Is this just a fix for the iron sights?
It looks like there are files that seem unnecessary for this fix:

- or is there some coupling between these files and iron sights for weapons that have it?

I just changed some of the iron sight values and posted the whole weapons folder. So there is nothing in those files you listed that is needed. I left the rest of the values unchanged (hit power, fire distance, bullet speed, etc...) because different people like different weapon mods so I left it the same as the vanilla game.

i've been reading this thread, sounds good.

i played the game vanilla a lot first and one thing i found to be ridiculous was the strength of the headlight. i think this should be classed as a fix, unless it is now brighter since 1.5.04.

i modded one in from Ceano. this was back on the 1.5.04 patch.

i'm about to finalise a collection of fixes/mods and plunge back into the Zone for a while with patch ..,09, SRP will definately save some hassle. good work

i'm glad about the ATi 'no camo and fences' is fixed!! (waiting for ATi is a bad idea)

now all i have to do is to wait for Darius' Sound Overhaul.

ATi drivers are actually pretty good with stalker, because of the DX10.1 support, the catalyst drivers were finely tuned for the game. the bug is in the shader scripts of the game.

About patch 1.5.09, well i hope it won't ruin the SRP completely lol.. but i do hope we'll see more single player fixes and changes. if all goes well, Clear Sky 1.5.09 + SRP would run almost flawlessly, playability-wise.
