Update!

SRP v0.6 BETA

Core Fixes:

1. Vandals Immortality Fix v1.10 - Vandal

Adds invulnerability to a number of characters in Clear Sky, preventing the accidental death of important characters like traders and mechanics, or random death of others such as Drifter and Hound.

2. Fixed-up ironsights - Angus McFisticuffs

Fixes wrong ironsight positions on most weapons in the game.

3. Weapon icon fix - Marked_2 & Danila_STALKER

Replaces the weapon icons in inventory view for the PMm, PB1 and AK74/2U, to icons that represent their real look (brown grip handles for the pistols, and brown finish on the AK74/2U).

4. Artifact Respawn fix - pavlov

Fix for bad timer on artifact respawn times.

5. ATI shader bug fix - MacroN

Makes camo nets and fences visible on ATi based graphics cards.

6. Float32 SSAO performance patch - jjwalker

Improves performance and adds to the general image quality when playing the game in DX10 mode (no change for DX9 mode).

7. No Annoying Flashing Disk Icon - Decane

Disables the annoying flashing diskette icon now and then.

8. Professor Beanpolev Audio & Dialog Fix - Decane

Fix for Professor Beanpolev dialog, which could trigger twice and sound strange.

9. Gosuke weapon mod 4 - better animations for Chaser 13 & LR300 - Gosuke

New and improved animations for the chaser 13 and lr300. includes new sounds too.

Some CS annoyance removers.

Below is a list of mods I would recommend supplementing the SRP with. The list is not exhaustive, but I have found the mods below to work fantastically in reducing much frustration caused by Clear Sky's design flaws:

All of the above mods have been tested with patch 1.5.08, and should work just fine with SRP (although the weapon files may need merging with gosuke & Vandal).

Hi Decane, nice to see you around again lol
So more fixes and patches you bring.. well well.. you are a saint.

IMO, weapon attributes-related mods are problematic. who is to say that a weapon should be in this manner or another? this is why i stay away from weapon "realism" mods, and stick to the original developers balance. this feature is too debatable and touchy IMO, and as this is a community project, (yes, you guys decide what is IN and what is OUT) we should keep it generic in nature, as to not give this a more personal feel.
This is my opinion on weapon mods in stalker, and ofcourse your opinion is as important as mine here, so any comments on this issue are welcomed.

OK then, now to sort these fixes and start mixing things..

Just so there is no confusion, Marked_2, I'm not saying we should include the above mods into SRP. I formulated the list in order to serve as a 'database of frustration relief' of sorts so that those people who find CS's gameplay broken in other ways besides just pure bugs would be able to refer to a couple of mods which will alter the gameplay more towards a non-annoying direction. I my self like weapons with greatly increased accuracy and damage, however, some won't--as you pointed out--which is precisely the reason why these mods shouldn't really even be included as optional components of the mod.

Oh i see. so basically what we need is a list of mods that DO fit into the SRP. there's alot of stuff out there and i'm having hard time figuring out what to include in the project.

Also, i want people to give feedback and write down the things ingame that don't work/annoy them, so we could come up with fixes that the community need.

In the download thread, maybe you should link to the original mod threads. It would show more respect to the original author and it would be handy for people wanting to install individual mods.

Please do something about the NPC's unbelievable vision and hearing. It makes no sense that they can spot you from far away at night.

The True Sky mod appears to have resolved that issue (haven't tried it yet) as well as other AI-related glitches and annoyances, but unfortunately, it looks like it has been discontinued.

Also, you should really do something about the grenade spamming issue. Merging the less grenades mod would be a good start.
