I was starting to miss the Spring and Pellicle artifacts, so I brought them back

Spring:

Max Weight: +50 kg
Impact: +30
Rupture: +30
Bulletproof Cap: +30
Explosion: +30
Price: 50000 RU

Unfortunately the last four properties don't show up in the inventory description. Oh well.

The Spring forms in the same areas where you can get a Gold Fish artifact. So that means you can't get one until you reach the Red Forest.

The Pellicle is only in a few stashes, and a few traders sell them. I'm working on getting the Pellicle to function correctly, since when you drop it it crashes the game. I have the correct file in meshes\dynamics\artefacts, but apparently it doesn't have any .dds or .thm files in SoC, which I need for Clear Sky. I'd like to make it form in areas of very high chemical activity, despite the old formation. In SoC, it formed at the bottom a strange anomaly which had no gravity. The anomaly was taken out. Just like the Mama's Beads in SoC formed in an anomaly that had warped time. If you picked up the Mama's Beads, the anomaly would disappear.

The .dds file is the texture, if you open the mesh with a hex-editor you'll be able to find out the path for the one it uses. The .thm files are what the engine uses (in CS/SHoC) to match-up the bump-maps to a texture, it's not strictly necessary if you don't want a bump-map, but you can always duplicate an existing one and re-name it to match the texture, then change the file-path inside, again using a hex-editor (you must keep to the same number of characters though).

I notice neither of those artifacts have any particle effects though, have you looked into where those are defined? I'm not sure if they're a function of the mesh or if they're specified in the configs somewhere, never tried it myself

EDIT: also, have you seen one spawn from an anomaly? Do they follow paths like a regular artifact?

Particle effects for the Spring are the same as the Gravi, Goldfish, and perhaps a few others. They're defined in artefacts.ltx and they do show up, I just got that screenshot at a bad moment.

So far no luck on getting the Spring to form in an anomaly. It could just be bad luck. I made it so that the Spring forms in the same areas as the Goldfish. I got two Gravi artifacts in the Red Forest, and a Wrenched in the anomalous zone which is also in the Red Forest. In the Military Warehouses, I got a Goldfish near the crashed helicopter and a Wrenched in the other gravitational field.

Even if the Spring doesn't form in an anomaly, it's alright. The underground trader in the Red Forest sells it, and it can be found in several secret stashes. Here are some hints. One of those stashes is in the same place where you can find a Spring in SoC. Another is in the same level as in SoC, but in a different spot.

The particle effects for the Pellicle are the same as the Stone Blood and the Meat Chunk, not that I can see them anyway (yet). I actually put ALL of the .dds files from SoC into my CS gamedata folder (correct destination too). It still didn't work! Oh well, who would want to drop a Pellicle anyway. It's very valuable and it isn't much to look at, it just looks like a large bunch of fruit roll-up

EDIT Again: The Pellicle's texture file is apparently textures\pfx\pfx_dist_glass. This file already exists in Clear Sky, and using the old SoC one in my gamedata folder doesn't work

7.62 x 54mm AP rounds have been brought back (standard round now for RP-74, compatible with that and both sniper rifles).

Usualy I don't post screens from my gameplay but this is something to remember.
Using patch v1.5.10 and no mods or scripts or custom skins I have noticed after about 20 min of gameplay something weird.
Strelok is M.I.A.

After killing tons of Monoliths and pasing through lots of teleporers in the final battle at the NPP Power Plant I figure I pull my PDA to check for his signal to see where exactly he is.
