What is the best mod for SoC actually?
Hi, I finished SoC many times and I'm looking for a good mod, well english translated with new quests and good graphic. What mod could I play? Wich is the best mod between Narodnaya Solyanka Cumulative Pack 2, NS Joint Pak, NS DMX 1.3.5 ENGMOD v1.0 and Fotograf ? I like good graphic. Thanks |

Out of all the mods that you mentioned, photograph, and joint pack 1 have full English translations. Joint pack 2 has a machine translation which can be very difficult to follow.

If it is the first mod you've tried I think I'd go for Priboi Story.
The others you mentioned are basically all monster mods made from several smaller mods linked up. They all (I'm pretty sure, but I've not tried F.O.T.O.G.R.A.P.H.) contain the SoC storyline with additions or extensions.
Priboi Story is a total-conversion and extends the SoC storyline.
Or you could give Lost Alpha a try. Not a mod at all but a stand-alone Stalker game completely outside the SoC storyline.

Yes I finisched Proiboy, nice mod even if without manual is impossible to finisch. What is the difference between stalkersoup, Narodnaya Solyanka Cumulative Pack 2 and NS DMX 1.3.5 ENGMOD? |

I really like O.G.S.E. 0692. It just has the right amount of weapons and items, you can easily change spawns and some graphic stuff like lense flares.
I slapped the AA2 eye candy on top of it, with the shader settings from AMK: Autumn for more colors and it couldn't look better. |

Yes AA2.1 is the best for me too. I have never tried ogse...thanks for the advice |

I consider it the best mod. I haven't played them all, though.
It needed some tweaking to be closer to my liking but now it's a big, atmospheric funland with just enough of everything you'd need. The translation is also not too bad from what I've seen yet.
And the best thing: Hours and hours of playing without a single crash! (ok, ok, one single freeze but that's it!)
The worst thing about it: I can't seem to increase the grass render distance without the game having constant crashes. Low grass render distance is rather ugly to look at, imho. |
