Is it possible to run ST2 with AA2.1? I never could make ST2 with AA2 working on my computer. |

Hey Stalker,
i´m a long time fan of the series since 2008 and really really enjoyed every playthrough of SoC, CS and CoP.
SoC is my favorite, so i took a look around and found Secret Trails 2+ Autumn Aurora on moddb. From the blog of nashathedog i got that Mega link whrere i was able to download
Secret_Trails_2_Eng_Trans_Full_v3 ,
an 1.31 Gb .rar file. I also read that readme thread on steam which is linked in the download.
But i got issues at the installation of the mod and i don´t know how to progress further right now.
I try to start the exe and get an Ctd with that log :
Expression : fatal error
Function : CStringTable::Load
File : E:\stalker\patch_1_0004\xr_3da\xrGame\string_table.cpp
Line : 53
Description : <no expression>
Arguments : string table xml file not found string_table_includes.xml, for language eng
Maybe it has something to do with my german DVD ?
I made a clean installation and patched to 1.0004.
win 64 Bit
I tried to contact Vandererer and Cromm Cruac but didn´t get any answer
yet.
I would appreciate any help,

Hi Stalkerstein,
i allready got some help from nashathedog :
I changed the "eng" to "ger" in the localization.ltx and changed the test/eng to text/ger
That way i ended up with russian quests in the pda, english dialogs and german item descriptions. I would be happy with english, german is not a must, but i can´t read cyrillic.
Changed
string_table_enc_equipment.xml
string_table_enc_weapons.xml
string_table_enc_zone.xml
and 2 other
to
string_table_ger_equipment
string_table_ger_mutants
string_table_ger_social
string_table_ger_weapons
string_table_ger_zone
So the game starts, what did you do to get single language version ?
i don´t have that 'string_table_includes.xml' file in text/ger, but i can see it in the localization.ltx
Anyway, thanks for your help, many many other people i aksed even didn´t answer. |
