Why do everyone have to listen to that annoying stupid fucking russian inside chernobyl, who the hell understands what he's saying anyway? You can't even hear the action.

It makes me think of the french!

What the f*#@ are you talking about?!?!? It adds so much to the atmosphere in that final level of the game and enhances the entire experience. Its not really a matter of what he's saying, and honestly translating it into english or whatever language would detract from it, its just the sound of impending doom that comes with that deep booming voice.

Don't buy games based in other countries if you don't like listening to other languages. There's plenty of games based in English or non-existent places where language isn't important.

No... I'm just not a <insert random flame of choice> & expect a game made where Russian is a major influence to contain Russian oddly.

I had to turn off my speakers in the last level because of that. If there was something in the game that was a danger to my nerves then that's it. Especially when you start to listen to it looping, you die, it loops, you die, it loops, you die, <choose between turning the speakers or the game off>. Also, since I do not know a single russian word, all you end up doing in that last level is listening to the, first funny sounding, and later extremely retarded sounding words, or for me... random sounds. And eventually, because of that, you get shot in the head because you're getting so annoyed by the sounds that you can't even bother to peek around the corner and instead just run into the room with the fire button pressed.

...just my opinnion. Also, first (and only) time I were there I tought my character was losing it (how could it possibly have crossed my mind that it was a rock that was talking to me?).

I said its hypnotising

It makes you stop thinking about your action and do what seems more logical to your charecter. Including things as dumb as making a wish.

BTW, I would never turn off my speakers, it immediatly removes the feeling of being in the game. I always play on medium-high volume full subwoofer.
