Calm between the storms!

What I would really, really strongly like to suggest goes into the next patch, is that the timer on new waves of bandits entering each sector is cut down. As it is, bandits swarm into each section of the zone so quickly that it's like there's an infinite underground pipeline of hostiles leading up into the middle of the zone lines. This is especially bad along the main road of the Cordon, past the bridge checkpoint, and worse at the vehicle junkyard / train tunnel in Garbage, where I literally do not have time to even check all the bodies for stash info, let alone loot and store my findings from them before I'm under attack again. I was stuck in that junkyard for hours of RL time fighting infinite waves of bandits.

I've completely given up hope of any thoughts of trying to keep any of the 'good' NPC's alive, because the fact is, they don't stand a chance against all the bandits swarming the zone. Making friends ingame is pointless since they die two minutes after you walk away!

What I'd like to suggest, is make it so only one wave of new NPC's enters an area maybe every 6-8 hours on the ingame clock, rather than every 10 minutes or whatever it is now. This would keep the perpetual struggle for survival feel you're trying to emulate, but still give us realistic chances of making an impact on the lives and deaths of the npcs we like, plus give reasonable time to collect and move loot without worrying about being shot at by the same **** bandit who shot at you 10 seconds ago Or maybe add ways to permanently clear out bandit camps?

Anyways, please consider my request. All I'm asking for is a little more calm between each storm.

P.S.: An autorun button would be wonderful!

Thanks, though y'know you only really notice all the little grammatical errors after someone replies xD Ah well, tidied it up a bit. Hope others agree as well, and most importantly, the devs.

I have a feeling they're doing something with the spawn times in the second patch.

Hope so, I hear it's coming soon. Anyone else have comments on this post?

I agree... there should be gaps in the spawns & such. Like every time I enter the bar from the South there's dogs waiting for me... that's fine except it'd be more real if they weren't there *every* time... like make it a couple days or something since animals tend to be territorial & don't move that much. As for humans every 8 hours in game seems reasonable as we move around a lot. But make a few more "friendly" spawns to even the numbers... bandits are just guys ganging together to steal stuff since they don't fire on each other... makes sense you'd have your own "gang" type thing going OR make some groups of bandits fight each other cause there is no honour among thieves.

Spawn times are fixed in the elusive second patch. Allegedly.

Been there. Like someone said in another post, I spend more time making corpse piles from irrelevant bandit or military shoot-outs than I do playing the game ;p

In the meantime, I wonder if there's a line somewhere in gamedata we can use to mod the timers manually? Or even tweak them to be better after the patch if we're not satisfied?
