Idea for a new type of Mutant

Here's an idea for a new mutant. A greedy and sneaky mutant which only motive is to collect/steal/loot by any means possible a certain (rare) type of artifact or items and stashes them somewhere secret.

This mutant would be relatively harmless. It would evade every other mutant or human and only attack and maybe kill those stalkers that are carrying his favorite item. This mutant would be very rare and hidden most of the time, but highly dangerous when encountered.
Maybe it could be permanently infested with radiation, as if it was a walking piece of radioactive waste. Addicted to andtirad and vodka and looking for artifacts that can help against radiation.

It would be an idea if this creature sneaked up to the player or any other stlaker, and in its attack temporarily paralizes the stalker and run off with some of his belongings. A quick and hard to kill mutant. Fun to hunt it down though, because finding his secret stash can be a real trophy.

What do you think?

Well if they would add that kind of behaviour to zombies it'd be a nice extension.

Just the hoarding and stealing of items, though.

So kind of like a Gollum from Lord Of The Rings? lol...steals things and hoardes them to himself and possibly will kill you? lol

none the less I like this idea. but I think it should have the ability to temporarily blend in with it's surroundings like a chameleon.

I know they say the blackbirds survive the radiation and chernobyl conditions but I think it would be cool to have some sort of mutant flying creature that attacks you? Not sure what any of you think about this idea.

We've allready got a chameleon type of creature. The bloodsucker.

The flying creature wouldn't be a bad idea, they could build on the crow and have those attack the player in large groups.

Yes, I was thinking of something alike. Maybe a deformed bat, say about 50 cm tall) with part of the behaviour of a magpie. Stealing things and keeping them somewhere..

The possibilities for this game are endless

I know the blood sucker can turn invisible but it would make sense if this one turns invisible to, being as it's suppose to be a stealthy creature that sneaks up on you and stuff =D

and yeah, the possibilities for this game are endless...question is..will any of the ideas people post in here are being looked at and considered by devs? or are we just posting all this and it's really just a waste of time?

I like the idea. Reminds me of the little blue looters from Golden Axe

as for it's appearance, the behaviour makes me think of some form of monkey or sloth. perhaps a human form with a curled spine and extended forearms that skulks a lot.

never makes a sound and moves into smooth fluid motions like the Snork. Also doesn't set off the Stealth bar, since it's the one watching YOU.

If it's possible to code, it will move to a nearby bush and lay dormant when over lifeforms get in range. Perhaps even climb high up go on lookout but that may mean a 'Climb up' and 'Climb down' animation for every tree and structure model in the game.

I love the climbing bit, probably a thing for stalker2, but the idea of a mutant that scales trees and walls... like the ghouls in Dark Messiah... whoo <shudders>

I like the mutant idea, though I think the pickpockets could get really annoying at times.

I like that idea, really cool. "We can't stop here..... This is bat country!"
