How to switch to r2r1 render

Hey guys, basically the problem is this - Im not seeing blood decals on bodies, but I read (and saw screenshots) that they should be. A forum page I found after a google search said they disabled it on r3 (whatever that means). Now I have no idea how to switch to r2\r1 and there is absolutely no explanation how to do it. People just write "switch to r2", and not a single person anywhere explains how the hell to do that.

Im playing the release without any patches, and basically I just want some bullet wounds on the bodies. If there is another way to do it - please tell me how

Can't sleep so I'll suggest DX 9 & DX 10 are classified as R? so try switching in Video options and/or between the various lighting options.

In Options, set to full dynamic (dx9).

In user.ltx, the setting will then be:
renderer renderer_r2

Hmm, I tried that and still no luck. Does anyone else has this blood decals issue?

Go to options and in first tab you have
Full Dynamic Lightning (DX10) and when change it to Full Dynamic Lighting or Static Lighting
