Reaching Dead City for Sakharov, questions about my inventory

Finally I made it to Yantar and now to Dead City without issues. I just hopping the Dezowave team not to publish a new patch, because I don't want to restart the game again...

My inventory has many things but I have some questions.

I own the Stalker and the Monolith suit, both upgraded. I didn't buy a suit, just found them. I want to now if better suits like Seva Suit, Duty Suit, Freedom Suit, Ecologist suit, Beril suit and etc, are available somewhere in the locations I already visited following the main storyline. I didn't made a visit to an area without having a mission to do. Did I miss a better suit somewhere, or I will found them playing the game?

My weaponry has many rifles and pistols, I don't have a Dragunov (I didn't take it from the Cordon, I don't want to engage with the Military, the owner is already dead), the GP 37, FT 200M, the SA Avalanche, the Vintar BC and the SVUmk2. I will find them later during my progress?

Also I have many artifacts, it's easy to find them by seeing their light when you are on a hill...

P.S. On Garbage there's a stash in the middle to the building wreckage which is named "It's not easy being green" - In the derelict building, tucked safely in a green container. Where is this container? The one on the upper floor which is unaccessible?

P.S.2. Someone has mentioned that in Darkscape there's a stash with many artifacts. Where's this stash?

When you get back to Yantar you'll speak to the Professor, then you'll leave the lab. Not far away is a hole in the ground - you've probably already seen it. Next to that will be a chap who wants you to find his lost weapon. When you bring it back to him he will reward you with a SEVA suit.

Other suits are spotted around in various maps, for instance the Green Ecologist SSP suit can be found behind a sofa in a building in Pripyat Outskirts. Most of the other outfits can be found in similar circumstances.

As for weapons, the G36 (GP37) can be had from a Monolith soldier. You will be given a Vintorez at one point. FN2000 is in a stash at the NPP as I understand it. Others you can take from deceased NPCs or find in stashes.

It is possible to climb up to the 'It's not easy being green' stash. Even if you shoot the container down the stash will still be up there.

Not heard of an artifact-bonanza stash. I await the answer to that one with you.

No stash with many artifacts, just one or two useful artifacts in a stash. Check all the houses in the village in the forest after you exit the mines where you spoke to the Sin leader, then check the abandoned truck on the access road leading to the village. There's also a heavily radiated anomaly area near the road leading to the Cordon exit (after you pass the bus stop with the military) containing 4-5 artifacts, one of which is a higher tier. They're in plain sight, visible from the road, the best one is hidden behind a rock. You need a few antirads to be able to get them all. There's also a couple of houses close to the anomaly field, you can find the best anomaly detector in one of those.

I'm quite surprised that disturbances in the Zone, such as blowouts and psi-storms, do not precipitate artifact spawns in LA.

This is good to know. I had tried to climb to get this with no success and ended up shooting it down and after checking assumed the stash to be underground.

The green Scientist suit can be found in Yantar. It’s in a low bunker-like structure filled with springboard anomalies, close to the mapchanger to Dead City. A Freedom suit can be bought from the trader in Construction Site, but it’s only slightly better than the monolith suit.

Steelyglint already mentioned the SEVA suit which you can aquire shortly after returning from Dead City. The green scientist suit can be acquired earlier and has better stats (though it looks worse imo).

Thank you everyone for your answers. I own a Seva Suit, the Stalker gave it to me for finding his rifle!!

When I reached the Swamps I checked every location!!! And I found a good rifle and a Merc suit! Now I must do the same to the Darkscape, the Yantar and the Dead City to find everything and to sell the loots... I have only 110.000 rubles. During the previous winter, when playing again the Shadow Of Chernobyl I managed to finish it with 930.000 rubles.

Ghost gave me the Vintar BC!!!

I also found to the Army Warehouses the two Dragunov's, looting the deads!!! Too bad there's no one to sell the loots. I will earn about 50.000+ rubles...

Also I want to ask if the Contact can avoid to die during the blowout of the Merc Camp?

The SEVA suit will carry you through the rest of the game, make sure you get the 2nd generation nightvision upgrade.

You don’t need much money to complete the game. Just enough to buy ammo, some upgrades, repairs and maybe the artefact merger with the ‘rock’ recipe. Now, if just want to make money for the sake of it, you should only sell your stuff to stalkers that are friendly to you. Traders only give a fraction of the price of a weapon. Petrenko in the Bar has unlimited money and becomes friendly by completing the storyline missions. I made about 500.000 rubles by loading everything in the trunk of my car and selling it to him.

I have over 700.000 rubles now, which only purpose is to satisfy my OCD, I can’t reasonably spend it anywhere. Another good way to earn money is by selling monster bodyparts to the scientist in Yantar.

I think that his death is scripted.

I have stashes with lots of things, to Dark Valley Loner Camp, to Doc's house, to Garbage, to Bar, to Ghost's hideout, to Scientist's bunker and to the secret stash outside Strelok's hideout in Agroprom.

I must try to concentrate all the things to one stash. I think the Bar is the perfect stash, but needs a lot of time to do that.

If I sell some of them for sure I will earn a big amount of money.

Also after killing Maddog to retrain the Artifact, the Military is no longer Neutral to me. Is there a way to make them again neutral by editing the code?

It is still exactly where it was, only now its invisible. Might take a bit of finding. If I remember right there's a bit of box-section ventilation ducting with a curve to it. If you can get onto that you're only a jump or two from that level of the building.

Get a car and you'll have a great mobile stash that will be always at hand. Just take good care of it (refuel, repair and save often) cause if it gets destroyed your stuff is gone. A friend of mine has managed to stash the trunk of his Moskvich with some forty exploding barrels, try that in real life. ;https://www.gsc-game.com/index.php?t=community&s=forums&s_game_type=xr&thm_page=3&thm_id=23094&sec_id=19

Thank's yayo.

I'm in the mission when in the Bar everyone is killed and I need to take down the Helicopters for Petrenko.

I didn't made the Arena challenge.

From now on I can't do it?

Also I have things in the stash inside the Bar, now I cannot reach them!

Ok, I know what to do, I will move them all before I go to Yantar to deliver the Artifact from Maddog.

You aren't missing much by not completing the arena. It gives you acces to the door inside the arena for easier access when you aproach the Bar from the south. In my and other peoples games the reward leads to a crash.

You can access your stuff again after you've downed the choppers. You won't lose any of it.

I deleted all saved games after returning the Artifact to Ghost and then to Sakharov in Yantar. It's not a big deal, the progress was minimum. I want to complete the quests of the Bar residents (finding the rifle and etc) and then I will return the Artifact to Sakharov. I want to complete the Arena and to remove all my goods from the stash to my vehicle.

There isn't a Freedom base anywhere? Or a trader?

P.s. I found that with RPG you can destroy the Hinds with a single shot if you hit the helicopters underneath the cockpit.

P.s.2. It worths the prize of earning, to search every building and area in Dead City, Army Warehouses and Yantar? Also the underground of Yantar which where you find the wire and the rifle has anything else special using the opposite way?

Ok I search every area I have visited since now and I found everything. Now I must go to find the Barkeeper to the new settlement. All my things are in the trunk now and I'm using my vehicle for moving around areas.

I want to ask if there's is a mission which includes the Mercenary Camp in the Darkscape? Should I eliminate them? They have something useful in their base?

According to my progress which is the percentage of completion for my playthrough?
