keeping borov alive and bandits friendly

Hi all,

Is there anyway I can choose not to kill bandits and loot the safe? So that I can trade with the bandit trader later?
Borov says he goes for a coffee but always returns before I can sneak out with the loot.
I still had to deal with the guard outside either using a silenced pistol or knife. And I hid is corpse before opening the safe.
So I end up killing Borov too and subsequently all the bandits as they turn enemies.
So is there a way with minimum kills/more stealth?

PS: BTW the Safe cracking is awesome. Took me a while to figure it out but it is a nice touch.

I waited until Borov was back in the office after getting his okay to view the documents, grabbed the documents and then ran right past him before he could pull his gun, closing the door as I passed. Ran by the guard who got off a couple of missed shots, and then right out the hole in the wall facing Poker's building. Landed behind a bandit who was patrolling in front of Poker's area, shot him in the back of the head. Poker fired and missed as I passed. Ran over to the open window by where Shaggy Sergei was being held, killed the guard in there before he could get up. One other guard entered right after, shot him in the head. Then I ran downstairs and opened the door for Shaggy (having already supplied him with a weapon). Then I ran out the nearest front exit without a scratch on me, having stolen the documents and freed Shaggy Sergei, only killing three low-level bandits in the process.

That's my method, anyway.

But as far as I can tell there's no way to keep them friendly, they turn red as soon as you take the documents. I know, I miss the bandit trader too. Oh, and when Borov says "coffee", he really means "I'm gonna go chug a bottle of vodka". http://imgur.com/oqvLOe0

Or maybe is too ashamed to drink coffee from a mug. So he pours it into an empty bottle of vodka? LOL. Like that picture. Thanks.

I killed them today after taking the documents... I wipe out the base... What to do? They meant to be killed. Trader "gave" me the Storming Obokan, the Groza (one for me and one for my Duty Friend) and some other goodies...

Nothing wrong with that. I was just saving them for later and wanted to try to complete both objectives killing as few as possible and without taking damage.

I'm surprised TS hasn't found a way to take the docs and still keep Bandits green. IMO there should be a secret way to do this. I'll let dez know so Vintar can implement something. It's stuff like befriending Freedom and mercs in SoC that makes Stalker games so special.

That would be excellent if there were a way to stay friendly. And time permitting, I'd love to see a few side-quests given out by bandits, especially assassinations.
