radio stations
Would someone from the eastern european area kindly explain to this uncultured westerner what it is he is listening to on the various radio programs we encounter in the Zone. What is the source of the music and particularly the La la la la la program ?
Second question, in the great swamp map, I hear what sounds like military radio chatter coming from an undetermined location as I explore the area. Anyone else hear it? |

Some of the stuff on the radio does seem to be some sort of radio drama thing, but I'm curious about that ranting speech that sounds like a political propaganda speech. I've heard it used in other mods by itself, so I'm pretty sure it's not related to the radio play. It would be neat to find out who it was speaking, and what they were talking about.
I think the second thing might be a bug. I've noticed that several of the plot-specific sound clips replay every time you enter the area, long after the plot point has been played out. Others just play every time, no matter what.
For example, whenever I approach the Monolith headquarters in the Dark Valley, I can hear the exchange between the informant and the Monolith leader, the one ending with "On my way."
I also hear someone say "Best of luck!" when I approach the Bandits' shooting range, even though no one is there.
It's more fun to think of it as oddities and ghosts of the Zone, though.  |
