I figured out what was causing the crash. Somehow one of the intro videos was causing the game to fail at start up so I just added the -nointro line to the shortcut.

Very cool mod, nice scenery on the new maps. I have one question now. I've escorted vasiliev to yantar, talked to the guy who looks like bes and sarkohv and gotten the medicine for the forester. How do I get back to the forest? I can't see any level changers and I die if I try to go through the two obvious ones on the map.....

Thanks for the heads-up on that crash. Tried it myself and got a CTD with bugtrap message about a missing intro_gsc_wp_l.ogg. Updating the installation instructions (may help the next guy....).

How much of a hint do you want for the Yantar exit? Slightly cryptic clue, go out Saks door, ahead & slightly left. Take the "subway", shoot any mutants around the bus, and watch your pda for a marker.

Rather than saying where the marker is I can tell you that you have to wander around in the area near the marker for a good 10 minutes or so before it shows up. Drove me crazy until I figured it out.

Are you looking for the food box or the medicine box? The food box is in pripyat in what is supposedly a deli. Being totally unable to read Russian this was a pita for me. For a hint it's on the left side of the map relative to you coming out of chern-1. Another hint it looks like one of the small boxes littering the sarcophagus that you cannot damage or open. If you really get stuck there are screencaps of where it is in the q&a section of the amk forum thread for the mod

If you're looking for the medicine box it's in chern-1. Clerk gives you a pretty garbled hint after you finish the killing army mission. He says it's nearby in the area by the locomotive. Look around there and if you can't find it I'll say where it is. It looks like the agropom document case in the world, like a repair box in inventory.

The reward for this mission is your choice of either a Russian or NATO scope.

Thanks rangda--I found everything; I must have walked by the food box in the 'deli' about 50 times. I found Solomon's medicine also--I feel a tad stupid not finding that on my first look around. I just finished Pripyat mission for Mahon--scored some good loot.

Amasing fast loading times! I was accustomed to lighten a cigarette and cook coffee, go to toilet and so on... with loading times of monster mods NS-DMX+...
A good mod it is, refreshing. I had no trouble with installing, it runs stable with 1.0005 patch, it is one mision at the time, then transition opens, monsters are strong and fast... Translation is usable... Pseudo, nice one, comlettly new stalker story

Swamp monster OMFG (spoilers)

Killed the swamp monster. He takes a lot less damage to kill than he did in NS (probably put about 200 rounds of 5.45 & 9x39 into him but the spiders OMFG). Made close to 100 spiders by shooting him. There is absolutely no way I see to do this without shooting him from afar; the spiders stun and overwhelm you very quickly and take a few AK bursts or a couple of shotgun rounds to kill.

The good news is that each spider drops a leg and they sell for 1,000 each so you end up with a pile of money. Of course with shotgun rounds costing 3500 for 10 you need it. I sold leg batches of 28, 26, 28, and then 2 or 3 small batches of 5-8, so it's close to 100 spiders.

I've been playing this mod and it seems fun, the loading times are very refreshing.

I had a look at some of the translation and files and sure enough a number of them are just Vanilla files in Russian, I really don't know why the Russian modders do that. Anyway, I think most of the amk stuff is already translated in NS and there might be some more stuff lying around.
Actually it looks like most of the text is Vanilla. Anyway, I'll upload something in the next few days.

Spoilers slightly obscured by merging all the text together.

This mod is trying to kill me. Four Pseudogiants show up in Chernobyl while I'm trying to knife three Chimeras. No one-stab knife kills on the Chimera, but at least they can be killed (even with a knife, from a safe height). Then I got a surprise in Pripyat from some unusual "bloody" zombies. Pripyat trader likes mutant parts, in lots of 10 (trading him jerboa heads and bloodsucker tentacles). 9x39 fans should visit the Pripyat bus depot helicopter. About to exit(?) Pripyat, redoing a southern Pripyat rescue mission because 5 saved games won't load. Otherwise the mod has been well behaved. Found a 12000 RU artifact not far from the big jump. Did all four Chernobyl guard "fetch" missions. Mahon guard gives a porcupine recipe (others: tt-33 pistol, 60 fractions, ak grenade attachment & 90 5.45x39). So if you miss any of those side quests you don't miss out on anything too awesome.

Pseudostomp I had the same surprise at Chernobyl-1 upon emerging from the sarcophagus to return to Pripyat. I shot 70+ 5.56 rounds and took down one of the four pseudogiants. Then I decided to run for it and managed to dodge the chimeras. I had some corrupted saves in Pripyat as well, but I got through it. I think I'm close to moving to the swamps--just need to do one last task. I got lucky and found the Vintar on my first run through at Chernobyl--in a box if my memory is accurate. Thanks for the 9 X 39 ammo tip--the Vintar is what's keeping me going. I can't seem to inflict much damage with the other guns.

This mod is growing on me, even with only the machine translation. I hope that nutbag will offer his expertise in cleaning up the translation.

Quickloading a quicksave takes less than 10 seconds!
