Hmmmm, I reloaded a bunch of times but it's not like I'm that far in I can start a new game easy enough. Not sure how long it will keep me distracted from finally seeing all those new levels in AMK NS though. Did you actually find the crate/night star? Even wandering around cordon after completing the mission I never found it.

That would be awesome, beacause it's like you can't go nowhere when you can't complete that quest.

No I do it by editing trader files so I end up by buying it from trader. Your spawn item idea was brillant.

I try translate all NLC 6 stuff aswell...
Eletronic notebook is translated, very time consuming messing with photoshop... Before was like russian keyboard and letters, was usless but now it's hopefully more usefull make your notes

Do you have that device yet?

I found it. Assuming it's not random, it's by grain building to the left of the military checkpoint. Head to the checkpoint and when you get there turn left and go towards the electro tunnel. The box is between the last building and the railway tracks on the flat area. If you don't find it there then it's randomly placed.

Thank you for the translation efforts. It's really appreciated. I don't have it yet, it's sitting at the tech in Cordon waiting for a battery or 5 PDA's (have 4 now).

I tried paying off the hunters to head to dark valley figuring I'd grab the scope there. Except the duty mission is gone (or doesn't spawn until later), nobody was at the garbage/dv zone line. While standing there I got attacked by a patrol of 6 soldiers who were kind enough to donate their akabans.

Is the translation for this available? I downloaded the translation in your sig and it appears to be the same as the one you first put up.

Interestingly the stalker in dv who gives you super cheap 5.45 ammo gives you ammo that weighs more than the 5.45 you get from the military trader. I had two separate piles of 5.45 in my inventory.

Work in progress... also with new patch some stuff are changed, so I need check these aswell. I really wanna realase it today...
If I understand correctly this NLC 6 is only part 1, extra expansion is under development?

EDIT: Releasing tomorrow hopefully, comes with two version gamedata and packed version(.xdb format). Also includes standard quick saving hack.

Several posts on AMK forums, guys having trouble with the Fox job. Trust the answer from Mav (a NLC beta tester, and NS walkthrough author).

1) Zani1965 posts: Can you please tell that to the fox? Cured him (when they first met), he said something like "... stuck right dog for me, help me fight back, then we'll talk." But the dog did not appear. So it should be, or is it a bug?
2) Mav to zani1965, apparently - yes, a bug. Do not talk to Fox until you get the job Sidor.
3) ? to zani1965, When the quests in chain mail jacket for sharper, Lissa No, but going to the Dump on the instructions of Sidor (Fox appears) - I simply medical treatment, ignored the dialogue. Later, when Sydor gives the job to Agriculture & after reports of Fox, yuzal dialogue. Everything was normal and there were dogs.
4) ? to zani1965, If you have evening assignments and Fox - dogs do not appear, but will appear in the morning and you do not have time. So, that Fox is better to save on the instructions of Sidor, and in the daytime.

Some more tips gleaned from Russian forum:

V1.0004 currently not the best SOC patch for this mod.
"Courier quests for delivery of a cargo do not work on the 4 th STALKER patch a bug NLS developers know about it. This will be corrected by Master Syakom when he returns.
Courier quests 1.006 work without problems."

Your latest translation has the script file that has to be changed in it, so my 'mod' would conflict with yours.

You need to edit sak_dialog.script and find this function:

All the stuff between the --HACK and --END HACK is what I added to spawn the items into inventory.

Reading the AMK forum for the mod this mission works like the Kostya cache missions in AMK NS. There are a bunch of different places it can spawn and the mod picks one at random. The mission text from sid gives you clues as to where to look (at least it should, for at least one of them the translation appears to have mangled it).

So if you don't want to run all over Cordon /w just a knife use the above change.

So it is me or does this mod have the worse ballistics rules ever? As far as I can tell aiming has no effect, your shots hit randomly in the crosshair spread regardless of whether you aim or not. The NPC's however, do not have this problem as bandits @novice have no problem whatsoever hitting me consistently with PK's @100M.

And NPC grenades land at the player's feet 100% of the time. I actually watched one follow me around a corner on the minimap.

It's too bad as there are some really nice ideas in this mod for structuring the content, but the author's concept of combat is totally broken.

Ive managed to grab that piece. Very cool. I strongly recommend to use the torrent to get the file, everything else is much to slow (got it in 30 minutes instead of 1 day!).

And for all people in here which are german, but never visit german stalker mod sites (as me) there is an german translation which is quite good but currently undone. Nevertheless its translated by Wlad77 the same guy which had done the AMK translations (for german AMK). He´s good in it and the text is much better as googlish!
check amk-zone.de for all infos about that and the dl link for the german translations.
