Maybe they can have the dealer sell locks for doors that you can install (or replace existing) yourself into a door of a building of your choice. And there can be different grades of locks priced accordingly for the required level of security. For a example a lil house with a few windows prolly doesnt need a fancy lock (just one to keep some mutants out) cause anyone can break into a window and steal ur stuff. Whereas for basements you can get a much stronger lock that you cant just blast open witha nade launcher. Then you will have a key wich you can pass to your clan members or teamates so that you can leave stuff for them and they have acess to it at any time. A dealer might also make copies of the key for extra charge.
---END QUOTATION---

The locks will be stronger than the doors and you'd have to order new windows.

And since the military isn't helping too much with breaking and entering calls I'd stick a "Protected by Such & Such Security Systems" sticker in the front door.

Oh, and also you can sell your key for your price. In other words if you have $1000 worth of goodies in your room (or locker or whatever), you'll sell the key for that much.

will you be able to store loot in buildings like more guns, ammo , and not have it disappear when u come back later
---END QUOTATION---

Yes, unless someone comes by and takes it. From what I understand this relates to game important items. If you blow up a couch however in that same room the pieces will disappear if you leave the area, but if you drop a whole bunch of weapons they should stay.

Well from what i've saw in the movies released, a lot of the buildings look very unique that you can go in. not usual copy/pasted or anything.

This was my reasoning against realistic buildings. But it seems I was wrong about them not rendering most of the rooms in a building so I am curious how that is going to fly as well. Are there going to be lamps in some rooms on the floor, chairs in different places, vacant rooms? We'll see.
---END QUOTATION---

We'll see indeed. I think it would be too much work decorating all those rooms, one by one just to make them unique. Would be a nice addition though. Maybe they thought of a "room objects randomizer" program that does the job for them? I remember such a thing in the editor of NWN.

And it all started once with Baldur's Gate.. Oh, I wish people would still play them online... one of the best RPGs ever.

I wonder if its possible to enter all buildings (or at least a lot/a few), because that would be a pretty good feature.

You will be able to enter the majority of the buildings.
---END QUOTATION---

If a door is locked will u be able to blow your way thru the door or walls... and or be able to smash windows and jump thru it?

I wonder how the rooms will be decorated, if those rooms aren't locked. In OFP it was all "copy pasted". There were different kinds of houses, but those that were the same, were exactly the same.

Wouldn't surprise me if it's the case in this game as well, but really, who's going to pay attention to such details if they're being chased by a pack of dogs? I sure will

I bet it will take 10 minutes before a zone is loaded... :
---END QUOTATION---

They claim the time is much like HL's load time only less frequent.

Disclaimer
---
Did they say that? Dunno but for some reason that's how I interpreted it. Have to find a quote of some sort.
---

There might be a longer start time like Vice City's long initial load.

I'm larger.

And as for buildings yeah everything is supposed to be open. There are apparently 18 different loading areas (that will probably change) but I bet the cities are mostly in thier own 'zone' so that all the buildings will be loaded as part of the level.

And there is one old cheese wheel somewhere in one of those buildings...where, is the question...where.

most likely 60% of them

I think they said 90%. There is a quote somewhere, BUT maybe they said 60% so let someone find it before you take my word for it.
