Everytime I see mention of the 'physics gun' in either HL2 or Stalker, I think to myself, "Now, finally, it is time to make the ultimate Jedi game!"

What's the difference between the manipulator gun and picking up and object then throwing it?

the manipulator is a fancy gun, that could shoot an object farther than you could ever through something, and i'm sure somebody will make a mod with a gunvery similar to the manipulator (if not better).

yeah that would be cool, just as he throws it at you, you stop it and throw it right back

I think you should just have 'Hands' which do the same job, only perhaps less efficiently. It would also be good if you could place objects a little more precisely than in, say, Deus Ex. If you had a proper positioning system (allowing you to carefully nudge the object into place and rotate it), you could do a lot of stuff - like elaborate traps

Yeah, that would be perfect. I have never seen a game using that technology, and it would be very great if S.T.A.L.K.E.R could be the first using such (revulutionary ) technology.

Adjustable hands?
The first?
Revolutionary?
The Trespasser nightmare ensues.

From what I gathered there were plans for gravity gloves of some sort.
But man I'll be damned if it was from a dream or an actual source that I heard it. Something about pretty much most of the anomalies being intergrated into weird fancy equipment. But I don't know if that died with the first Stalker concept or was part of this one.
