Pets in Stalker

Personally, I think that having a pet in the game would be a nice feature, but I dont think it would work so well.

This game is all about Chernobyl, and there will be radioactive areas. Unless someone manages to find Fido an NBC suit, I dont think he will last long.

A dog would be useful for finding food and other items, but he will just end up being more of a pain. A bird wouldnt be such a bad thing, as it could send messages or whatever. Something like a hawk could be good as it would also find food.

The only pet I can think of that would naturally withstand the radiation is either one of those mutant rats (not a bad idea...) or a cockroach. Useful that one.

What I think would be nice to see are rideable mutants. Imagine galloping on that... horse thingy (I forget the name through an enemy camp. Would look a bit out of place... but cool nonetheless

Yeah would be cool indeed (than you have a good wallpaper for your self ). I say it is those little things that make a game an awesome game. Not only shooting and stuff, but i also like some sense of humor in games.

But if there will be pets in the game, it will add more funny/juicy/ cheesy stuff and more tactics in the game i think.

If I had a pet in S.T.A.L.K.E.R, it would be a talking parrot. It would only say derogitory things to anyone I met, and randomly blurt out swear words like it had terrets syndrom. It would also have a friend, a dead frog it would carry around and introduce to everyone. It would talk for the frog in a different voice and all would be well.

The most useful 'pet' to have would be to befriend a controller. Then every mutant, stalker and soldier you meet will be obliged to curtsy to you.

Hehe, the controller would make you think that he's your pet but in the end you will be doing his bidding
