Believe it or not...I'm deaf

Yah, I'm deaf. Although I can still hear good enough and I rely on lip reading for communication as well.

But this game DEFINITELY needs a subtitle through out the whole game so I can understand all the parts where people talks to me after I pass out like in Yantar or later or something.

I love the game, but it needs the subtitle so I can understand the storyline. I hope someone from the developer actually reads this and I'd be very happy to play the game over again so I can understand.

I really enjoy this game a lot, but the biggest disappointment I have is that this game has no subtitle. But for side missions, or quest, I talk to barkeep or a trader in Cordon, that kind of thing that we communicate. I can understand those, but what about the part where they don't have it?

I hope y'all give support this, and I'd appreciate it a lot.

Great game!

Great idea. I understand you completely, my wife is in your situation too. It would also help all people, hard of hearing or not, at those times when we can't turn the volume up, or have to turn the sound off due to sleeping kids or partners!

There are times also when noise helps you realise that an enemy is closing in on you, and that makes it a whole lot easier to survive... Hmm. I just got an idea for a mod: "The enemy sound radar map", aka ENSON. Talk or step on something noisy and you make a blinking dot on my HUD map. If you keep quiet for a while the dot fades and disappears. The blinking dot doesn't follow you if you move away silently. Don't know if it's hard to do, but if it's too much for me I'm sure someone else will offer to help me out, developers or modders...

THANK YOU!

Now you feel me, you actually feel me!

But the ENSON as you mentioned, honestly, I don't need that. But hey, it may be fun to make it useful.. But the subtitle is extremely essential. I wish the developers would include that FULLY. There are deaf gamers, man!! Like me! Not completely deaf though......yeah.. I have friends who likes to play Battlefield 2, Delta Force Black Hawk Down..although they aren't like STALKER.

Like you said, people sleeping at night... Or don't want to make it too loud.. Headset would do, but without it..subtitle FTW!

I hope the developers will see this and feel us.

I think everything that is said in the game is logged in your PDA.

Most of the lines are in the PDA, but that's still a pretty big hassle.

I agree with Laszlo. Subtitle should have been included already. Most games did, some didn't...

For some reason I feel that posting here doesn't even help at all. I wish I would hear a word from the developer(s).

I believe Don Reba has some contact with the devs.
Maybe you can talk to him or send him a mail?

There's a mod that adds subtitles, at least for the CGI-rendered videoes. Here ya go.

Thank you SO much Serensius. But unfortunately, I'm not satisfied with it. I met with whoever the dude was before the movie ending, I don't get what he was saying.

Good game, but unfortunately, I don't get it.

It's be nice if a lot of the "Environemental Dialog" had Subtitles, as well.

Much of the environmental dialog -- such as people saying "Hello Stalker" or when you're in the Bar area where the "Duty Recruitment" audio messages play -- just don't have any Subtitles, at all.

It'd be nice if some of that audio did have Subs.
