More and more weapons.

Personally, I've noticed that while S.T.A.L.K.E.R. does have a fair share of well-known weapons integrated within the game, I feel that there should be a whole lot more weapons to put in the game so that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. will become more varied in its arsenal.

A list of weapons that I wish should be in the game:

I have to disagree. Sometimes more weapons does not make a better game. Uusually having more weapons makes the arsenal confusing, cumbersome, and takes away from development efforts in other areas. In Rainbow Six 3, you had countless weapons, but they were all pretty much the same. Assault Rifle Version 1 is not much different than Assault Rifle Version 2 and that makes the game just seem bulky. Hell, you're already starting to get some of that in STALKER. Has anyone even used the Obokan? Why would you use it if you have so many alternatives?

The point is, the last thing this game needs are more assault rifles. I would prefer more monsters, or more varied weapon types. A flamethrower would be cool (though impractical), as would an actual light machine gun (M249 SAW, or PK machine gun). A machine pistol which replace your small sidearm would be nice as well.

We don't need more guns, we need more varied guns. I don't want to fumble around with an AK-101 and an AK-103 and count the tiny little lines that say "oh this gun fires 10 rounds more per minute but does .1 less damage per round).

To many weapons just makes it stupid. I think the game only needs like 4 or 5 more max. One PDW like the P-90 or Mp7 or similar which is basically a Sub-machine gun with a heavier hit for the labs, a 7.62*51 rifle (personally I think the M14 looks hot) which makes sense to take into an area where most the terrain is open field & forests & that sounds like a true hunting (if bolt action) or assault rifle (if semi or full auto) & a couple more sub-machine guns just to extend the selection in them since there's only 1 SMG in the game (personally I'd like a couple of the Uzis). I'm quite please with the selection of hand guns & shot guns already myself. And the range of assault rifles is decent just lacking, like I said about, a nice 7.62*51 rifle.

yeah only a few of each category would do

you can separate them into:

Handguns
Submachine guns
Assault Rifles
Large caliber assault rifles
Shotguns
Sniper Rifles
Heavy weapons

only a few more to each category would do, this is only what i would like, i can wish


Handguns:
- Glock 17
- Browning Hi-Power
- CZ 75B
- Stechkin APS
- S&W 686 Combat revolver

Submachine guns:
- HK UMP
- UZI
- PP-19 Bizon

Assault Rifles:
- FN SCAR (i don't like them, but alot of people do)

Large Caliber Assault rifles:
- FN FAL
- M14
- HK G3

Shotguns:
- Saiga 12
- Remington 870

Sniper Rifles:
- Some sort of semi auto 7.62x51 NATO rifle

Heavy Weapons:
- LAW launchers
- More RPG's

obviously that can be cut down still, but its a nice variety, i think they all ready made a hi-power anyway, just didn't put it in.

That may just be my airsoft gun, but it's damn beautiful.

I think more weapons is a great idea, I get bored of finding one really good one weapon and using that the rest of the game. The G36 is pretty much all you need once you get it. There needs to be more guns that are effective and fun to use. I really want a 226 for a pistol in the game as well.

Understandable that you want more weapons, I love games with loads of unique weapons, but what you have listed is a bunch of copy cat weapons.

Sure, we need some different pistol styles. I know damn well I'd love to see a long barrelled revolver with scope options, and a Beretta 93r, *drool.* Also some more sub machine guns, a UMP really wouldn't hurt, and neither would a Calico. But what we aren't lacking, is assault rifles, and there is no need for another 20 different assault rifles, with minor differences.

Some things I'd love to see are bolt action sniper rifle or a real pistol-slotted submachine gun such as the Steyr-TMP, you listed that, makes me happy, a Mac-10 to counter that as well, make me even happier, and a tribute to us CS whores. ;D Another thing, an automatic shotgun for close quarters. Real machine guns would do nicely as well, but then you gotta think, this game is less of a military situational shooter where a machine gun would REALLY come in handy.

I'd be unimpressed if a machine gun was added only to be a runaround deathomachine. You shouldn't be able to sprint with them, nor should they be at all accurate when you aren't crouched. They should be used to clear out bases and to be close quarter room clearers.

Also, is it just me, or is it really anyone finding that you can't two hand with handguns really saddening. Wouldn't it be even more badass if you could do that, but do it with different handguns! Be awesome to see a desert eagle and a colt 1911 combo. However this would be deadly powerful with something accurate and long ranged, such as the Walther, so let's take out ironsite ability, or even to zoom in, and make two seperate firing buttons for each handguns, one for right, one for left. You get realism, and you get unique and impressive gameplay.

Also, there definantly needs to be one or two more experimental weapons. How about a radiation gun? I mean, wouldn't it be awesome to have something like a one shot firing gun that just super doses the victim with radiation. It'd be cool because you could actually combat it with items, adding an RPG element. Even better, something that'll zap stamina and make enemies drop to the ground in that crouching manner. Sort of like a less lethal weapon, that'll just incapacitate enemies. Making large wave type weapons with radiation, and stamina zapping abilities, would greatly add to RPG elements.

Also, different types of rounds would make me happy. I'd love to see some shotguns carrying around slug type rounds, gas grenades, flame grenades, there's a lot of things that you can add round wise that hasn't been. All I've seen is armour piercing, no phosphorus, no HE, no poisoned ammo. Would make the element of gameplay a lot different. And for some reason, it just seems right that you could have poisoned rounds and such. Think of how stealthy it is to take a mark with one round, missing the headshot, but killing them with radiated bullets.

There are slugs for the shotguns already (and flechettes too I think). I've got about 300 stashed.
But yes some other grenade types would be nice... a gas grenade (not something useless like tear gas but more like mustard gas or such) would make sense in the zone. HE & such as well. I think I mentioned smoke grenades in another thread. Changing the ammo type can be just as interesting as a new weapon for sure. Another thread I started I put forward the idea of things like tripods & larger clips which allows for a bit more customization (reusable & attach/detach like current scopes & silencers) give the guns buffs more varietyto play with with out over loading on guys where they almost become pointless. Right now the gus do all feel different. Like I like the Obokon or whatever much more then the AK74/2 for some reason... to me it seems to play different.
Also a side note on any chemical weapons... stalkers wearing protective gear like gas masks should be marked as not vulnerable to the weapon & mutants should be marked as resistant (unless in large doses since they're presumably more resistant to things like that since they're living in such a hostile area) so it slows them down but you still have to engage them

More heavier weapons at the end everyone has pretty much the same damn weapon. More weapons that can either be combined with the anomalies or artifacts , or have been effected by them.
