Request for SMGs

Just having an Mp5 isn't enough. The long rifles don't do too well in the tight corridors because they have horrible handling and control, it would be awesome if a UMP or other 9mm / .45 SMG was added for close in work. The shotguns are useful from time to time, but they reload pretty slowly (as in real life....in actual combat they are used for breaching or taking on one armed assailant in a defense situation.)

Shotgun are useless in STALKER, maybe you can kill a bandit if you fire at point blank, or a dog maybe...

So, we need a couple of SMG like MP7, P90, Bizon PP19, UZI.

Is the P90 an SMG or the FiveSeven a pistol that fires rifle rounds?

What would be neat, not horribly practical mind you, but really neat, would be a Thompson.

Maybe a Glock 18 for tight quarters?

Personaly I find the SPAS12's fairly usable in tight quarters, you just can't expect anything out of it at more then about 3 meters.

FN P90 fires 5.7 (right?) rounds with high speed so it can rip through body armor
the H&K MP7 is effective too

maybe they should add some german HE/frag grenades with 3.3 sec det timer

Yes stalker is lacking in variations of smg's A Bizon would be nice an smg with high ammo capacity or something smaller like a machine pistol prefably something closer at home...

Yes, the FN P90 fires 5.7mm rounds, they're bizzare little buggers made specificaly for that gun. The only other gun on the planet that fires 5.7mm is the FN FiveSeven handgun, hence the semi-fesicous question.

Actualy, I'm kinda suprised there isn't a scorpion in the game. It would fit perfectly with the setting and match up as a crap early firearm.

Beyond that a Thompson (M1927?) would be a nice touch, after that the P90's partialy in the game already, it was there durring dev...

The game could do with some close range assault weapons. Though personaly I find the LR300 in burst mode fairly functional for that.

I'd really like to see the shotgun attachment for it though.

if you use shell's you can get a kill at 50 not the 15 of bukshot
but more smg's yes but have some russan one's.

1 that shotguns are useless. They should be good to around 40-50 yards.

Its more like...3. Bloodsuckers take 6 or so direct hits point blank with 00 rounds. I never use them, which is a shame.

The 5.7 round is designed for one thing: defeating armored targets. It has pretty poor wounding potential unless you get a vital hit. Still, would be fun.

some of you guys say shotguns are useless but when you put the ammo in it thats accurate up to 100 meters you got a nice long range rifle in the early start of the game further i must say its useless when you fight close range

Wait, I'm literaly the only person who finds the pumps passable for close quarters work? Granted, you have to be on top of the guy, but, usualy one shell and down they go, a slug to the head seems to be a pretty fair bet too.
