There are a number of mutants, including Cat, Swamp Beast and Chimera, that never have a part to take after killing them. Are they supposed to have them?
I noticed, whilst scrolling through the treasure_manager.ltx, that a stash in Swamps contains a 'mutant cat head', so some of the parts unobtainable from the mutants themselves are actually in the game.
Is this something to be addressed in a future patch?
Also noticed that the 'target' line in treasure_manager entries has a number that is different for every stash except one - the 'esc_village_tomb_right_cache' has the same 'target' line number as the middle one of those three - Hound's stash.
I've never managed to get the message for that stash. Is that 'target' line number being the same as another stash preventing the message for it being given?
Will changing it make any difference?

A preoccupation with the next world is a clear indication of an inability to cope credibly with this one.

There are even Stalkers that ask for a cat's head when you contact them through the PDA. But like you said, I've never got one from a dead cat.
As for the Hound's grave stash. Strange that you never got it. In my game it is the only stash that I've gotten several times. Other stashes are onetime only.
I bought 2 cat heads from stalkers in the 100Rads Bar area. Killed a lot of cats but never collected a mutant part from them. Also never got a mutant part from Swamp Beasts or Chimera.

I've had the 'Hound's Grave' stash. I get it again every time I empty it and then hit the bandits at the factory where Wolf hangs out. It was the other one, with the same 'target' line number that I've never seen. I thought that might be because it has the same number and that was preventing it from being given.

You can look at the parameters yourself in the config files in config\creatures; Spawn_Inventory_Item_Section tells what item to drop, Spawn_Inventory_Item_Probability is how likely. Cats don't have either value, so they don't drop anything.

Hmmm. Seems Dez has got a bit more than fine tuning on his hands.
