May I now beg your wisdom. X18 I have all the doc's and have the mem/ stick and p/word selected stick & use. enterd p/word , located the file and tried to down load . it said downloading but seems to stick. is there a bug

Do you still have the mem-stick in your inventory? If so, you need to double click on it. Afterwards it will disappear from your inventory. You now have a new section in your PDA that says 'downloads'. The information you download from computers during the game will be available there.

I don't think its a known problem, perhaps load an earlier save?
When you turn one of the computers on the screen lights and shows icons. One of them on each machine has information to download for Sin.
Click on the icon and a small window will appear. Click 'download'. Once it is downloaded the 'download' button will become inactive. You will have to close that small window then turn the computer off. There are no 'download complete' messages or anything.
The info should now be in the new section in your PDA that was created when you double-clicked on the device the Sin leader gave to you.

Has the active task moved on to 'return information' or something similar? I wonder are you at the right PC? There are at least two - one right by the entrance - and one VERY well hidden, near a corpse.
It's the VERY well hidden one you need to complete the task - use your mini map - look for a corpse dot, and find a way to it.
