Have The NPC Tell Me The Location Of Where I'm To Go Ahead of Time, When I Ask About A Mission

When you accept a quest and all, it will mark on your Tasks part of your PDA and map where the quest takes you. I think it'd be nice to know, ahead of time, before I take on a quest. That way, if I want to take on say 3 quests at once, all which might be near each other and in the same area, I can do so. This way, I can take on all quests -- for example, all in The Dark Valley -- at once. This way, I don't take on multiple quests all in all kinds of different areas, which could be far apart.

Since there is often a TIME LIMIT -- usually a one day time limit per side quest -- I'd like to know where I'll be headed when asking for a specific quest, so I can decide if I should take it on now or later.

Most missions in STALKER, they don't tell you where you will be going, before you take the quest on and all. Maybe the NPC will tell you in the text, maybe not. So, I'm suggesting the location is displayed at the end of the NPC's text. For example, at the end of all the NPC's text, it will say -- "Quest Location: Dark Valley."

Though, if you're to get an "Item Finding Quest" like where you're just to go find an item and there's no exact location of where to find the item, since it could be found anywhere -- at the end of the NPC telling you the quest, the location display to the quest will say -- "Quest Location: Unknown."

What do you all think???

Without a doubt. And the missions should be more robust, theres a lot of loopholes in the completion, continuity etc of many missions.

Examples;

- Killing Stalker missions, if the stalker dies by anothers hands, you still get the reward, when in reality, you don't deserve it. The again, you might have led him to a trap. Complicated one to solve.

- Camp clearance missions not working, auto-completing, etc.

I vote for. They should tell you what the mission is and where it is located, every time.
However, i can understand when the mission npc might say that he/she doesn't know where it is..and instead directs you to another npc.

This would be a huge improvement. My current strategy is something to the effect of f6, accept, check PDA, f7.

I have removed all the time limits for the missions, i don't like it because you just rush trough the game then.

I just run a ten-day quest mod. It's realistic that there would be some time limit on quests, but 2 hrs (about one day) is a little short.

that's what i do.

Yeah i think the one-day quests are really too short.

[offtopic]Nice rig, Ceano. Personally, i use a 80CM HDTV for my monitor when i'm not at lans. it's nice sitting back at the end of a room..also greatly reduces the wear and tear on your eyes.[/offtopic]
