A little bit of agreement here, save for the exo makes it hard to tell if there is power assist. If there was, then yeah, the power draw trying to move that fast might hinder movement to a large degree.

But it *looks* like it is just a shell with braces and joints so that downward force is lessened (like crutches or knee braces)...that's it, more like a brace-ing system than battle armor like in FEAR.

I think where an RPG element would come into play is either player level (vet, stalker etc) or wear time of an "piloting" an exo.

Think about it, if you were wearing one it'd take time to adjust before you could manage a jog and even then the exertion of that frame armor would take time to move.

I think it'd double the exertion and slow you down to 1/2 running speed, or at most 85% of running/sprinting speed depending on you skill level.

Plus, I'm also suprised that in interest of "balance" that such a system doesn't make more noise!

you can get a mod for runing in exo's i think.
may be we can have over the top-exo's add like some type of item.

how lame,can you not see the huge servo motors on the armor,again people are just stupid,you try sprinting with 15kg armor on and another 45kg or so on your back.were not playing super man,its a brilliant idea,negating sprint ability,but having huge weapons fire protection and the extended carry weight(hence the servo motors)

you trade speed for strenght and protection... resonable tradeoffs

Could we not merge this idea with with two other threads?

Just a thought - Magazine reloading / Kit location / Grenade throwing by myself
independent backpacks by Teggy

If several people have similiar ideas, liked by most people on here then we cant all be far off the mark. Can we?

Haven't read your thread but Teggy's thread is an independent idea of inventory control. The Exo suits are more mobility option & both ideas could operate independent of each other. That is you could wear an exo & still be able to carry nothing but the gun in your hands because you have no where to carry it because the pesky pseudo-dog ran off with your backpack.

You can make the exo-skeleton improve your accuracy by giving it the base_disp = [any negative number] property in the config file.
 
Each word should be at least 3 characters long.
Search:    
Search conditions:    - spaces as AND    - spaces as OR
