How to Edit Weather Transitions ?

Hey guys, I've been trying for a long time now to figure out how to modify the Weather Transitions in ABC Inferno.

In this Mod, the weather changes every in-game hour. When it transitions you see a blinding flash of light for a few seconds which renders you completely blind- While annoying, I can live with it. What I'd really like to change is when you get Horror-time weather.

The transition to Horror-time weather makes your screen completely black for at least 5 seconds or more, while nasty mutants spawn all around you. At this point your only chance of survival is to sprint blindly using the mini-map as your only reference.

I assume this is the same mechanic as the white-flash weather transition effect, but I cannot find what governs it.

Similarly, the Mod has several weather conditions using what appears to be completely black skyboxes/sky textures. In this weather, you cannot really do anything or engage anything unless it's within 10 meters of you, as the rest of the map is obscured by pitch-black fog OR total absence of light sources- with the exception of a small static light source on the player.

Due to the random weather selection, this can trigger more than once in succession. So at times you'll find yourself doing absolutely nothing for 2 in-game hours until the weather clears/changes. Or you can chose to save and reload to trigger a different weather cycle. This conflicts with my play-style and immersion, as I have a self-imposed rule of saving only once a day.

So far I've tried editing the sky_color and fog_density, but I've yet to see any discernible difference. Fair enough I could conceivably rename the sky_texture to a normal weather, but at this point I have no idea what each texture will look like in-game. Tried viewing the textures in Gimp but most fail to load and the one's that do aren't visually representative of what I see in-game.

I've also yet to work out how the RGB of clouds and Sky_color influences the weather. Changing Sky_color from:

sky_color = 0.1, 0.1, 0.1

to

sky_color = 1.0, 1.0, 1.0

Did not achieve much, if anything. I assumed a higher value of the RGB would in fact brighten the sky color, but testing has not confirmed this. There are of course hundreds of different weather cycles, so it might be possible that I haven't tested thoroughly enough.

But for simplicity, does anyone know where I would find the variable for the weather transition effect itself ?

As it turns out, activating 3rd-person during the transition nullifies it's effects. This will do nicely.
