Anyone else HATE Lost Alpha?

If you would like to or are able to...then contribute by Paypal to Dez0wave.

If you don't want to or cannot contribute...then no one is forcing you to.

Neither of these actions requires a song and dance here about it.

because this thread is sleeping! Never forget negative & contrusctive comments

About DC release:

"Some people already buried our project" Not people, you did it when you released it. Always the same story about the leak...

"The progress is in fact not faster than before" = We are in peace, people can wait 6 more years.

"many people simply did not understand they are playing a work in progress game" Maybe people hoped to see a good mod after all this years of development furthermore as you had access to all GSC resources.

"Slowly during the months it became more and more stable" you can thank all players for this world wide Beta test (please, don't forget to do a beta test before the release of DC - it's an advice)

"While we were working on the 4th patch - namely 1.3004 -, it became more and more clear we need to release the developers cut" So, DC is not more than a new patch with few new features or reworked features.
And if it's a dev cut content, you have it now and you can release it in few days?
Maybe it was just cut ideas, not more. Something like promises.

"because the content we were planning was simply bigger than a patch" ofc, you need to clean all errors in the release version.
So, a new gamedata with a new binaries are better.

"which we planned to wipe out to make the game more polished and organized" So, the release version isn't good?! It isn't clear and a perfect work?!

"What do we plan to add? More life to the Zone" You impressive me! Really. After all this feedback from the community, you understand it. Congratulation!

"less empty places on huge levels" exactly the same as previously

"... will be included in the Developers Cut" Okay, it's just the new patch with few new textures, shaders and weathers. And you call it a new mod!

"On top of that we are working on the 'gift' for our donators which we promised." Money, Promises, Money! Sometimes you need to toady your donators.

"We got hundreds if not thoudands of positive and constructive comments" And you insulted modders who said negative but constructive comments.

"If you would like to support us, just click below to visit our main site where you can donate via paypal. We appreciate your help!" Money, Money, Money! Again.

I'd like to thank you for this post. I have finally been pushed far enough to finally forget about Lost Alpha. It seems people just don't get it. They think its easy. The truth is that for some lost alpha will never be good enough. Just move on. Why do you remain solely to complain? Go play a game you enjoy (that's assuming any game can reach your standards).

NOTHING in life is easy.

You will NEVER please everyone. No MATTER how hard you try. That is more impossible then living on the Sun.

Does not mean you should not at least try (to a certain extent of coarse).

Anyways, please tell me WHY you guys did not use CS/CoP NPC models and textures ? Now that is an objective and not too hard to solve problem.

Maud, your post is one of the funniest I've read for a while here, you say Never forget negative & contrusctive [sic] comments and then fail to offer any constructive comments. Wow, nice job!

Then your non sequitur is hilarious!

Relax Vintar. People think LA is on kickstarter or something and that devs have unlimited money and resources to create a mega project.

Charcharo, while I agree CS/CoP characters are bettter or improved, they are dumbed down to 2-3 variations per faction ( gasmask, raspirator and leather jacket) while in ShoC there are more variations and is more immersive that way. So many variations that I don't care about details on models (less polygons and low textures).

I like old characters, much closer to good old stalker

They are objectively better, since they are the same aesthetics and art direction but with higher polygons amount and beter textures.

What you are talking about (diversity) is easy to fix. Some CS/CoP mods have it fixed already. All the SoC variances... except on CS/CoP models and CS/CoP textures...

From what I've seen most mods that add SoC models to CoP/CS end up being bugged. They are not ported properly and when you kill them they start to bend their knees in opposite way and elbows too when they hit the floor, (maybe it's done better now, correct me if I'm wrong ) but I'm sure they can make it right now.

They dont actually use the SoC models. It is still CS/CoP models and meshes I believe, just with different variations added to them.

A CS Baklava stalker, if done correctly, is not bugged at all. He is just flat out superior looking to a SoC one.

I'm something of a baklava stalker myself, and bug-free is always preferable.
