First off... it's been 6 months since transplant, and the follow-up scan I had at the beginning of May has declared me free of cancer... I am back into clinical remission again, w00t!
As most know, I'm not one much to ask for any sort of help, but with how life has been compounding on me recently, I feel as if I no longer have any choice... life here in VaBch seems to continue to be one gut-punch after the other, and I truly regret my choice of having returned here from San Diego, though it was pressured by a relapse diagnosis and lack of access to medical care at the time. I want to move back, and try life again from an earlier save point, in a fashion. Though I've been able to find a job, breaking my month plus unemployment spell, it wasn't something I wanted to take (more of a beggars can't be choosers sort of situation), and income will be almost an insult, it seems... sadly, I've had no other employment hits over the last month, which I find dumbfounding considering my resume, qualifications and experience level.
Anyhow, I've set up a crowd-funding, donation-oriented fund raiser to help me reach that goal of moving back west. I'd like to be able to make the move prior to my next scan in 4 months - thinking ahead with worst case scenario, should I be diagnosed with another relapse before I can move, it will lock me back down to this region and I'll probably never get out. It feels like I have a time cap on my goals, if that makes sense? Following is the link, if anyone would care to donate whatever they can to help, that would be amazing. At the very least, if you wouldn't mind sharing the link within your own social circles, via facebook, twitter, email or otherwise, and help spread the word, that itself would be greatly appreciated!!

>> It's not exactly high on my bucket list, for sure
I agree with stooe: Optimism and a good sense of humor improve your odds quite a bit, {imperialreign}.
>> I just haven't really had the time to focus on any projects.
That is more than okay with us. New creations sound like something for after the fires are put out!
I know only a handful whose determination have been as sorely tested as yours, with the greatest debilitation coming from the wearing-away of strength with time. May you continue to find the strength you need to get through this trial.
I look forward with the rest to your return to a normal life with full health. |
