CHAPTER 6
RECONSTRUCTION

Simka,Rustik, and Rayoji were sitting in the bar, while Bug went out on a mission.
They were talking about how to recreate UFOTZ, which was very unlikely. “Damn it! Those fucking bandits have looted our base!” Rustik said, for the third time. He was frustrated over the whole destruction of the UFOTZ, he had actually not even gone on his occasionally artifact hunt. “maybe we can ask Duty for help, they got the resources and the guns to provide us.” Simka
asked with a low voice, trying to calm Rustik down. “no, Duty can not spare that resource at the moment.” Rustik said, with an angry voice. Then suddenly, a stalker walked towards them. “Hey there, I heard that you were the last remaining UFOTZ members. I just heard that your helicopter
has been seen in the garbage. Apparently some bandits are taking it down to god-knows where, but its still intact.” the stalker told them. “WHAT? How did they manage to drag that thing?” Rayoji asked. The stalker then looked at Rayoji. “well, I heard that they are transporting it with a large truck.” the stalker then said. “where are they now?” Simka asked. The stalker got a little smile on his face. “well..... that information will cost you 500 Rubles.” he said, with a strange, calm voice.
“Okay fine! Here you go! Now, tell us their damn location!” Rustik said, while he transferred 500
rubles to the stalkers PDA. “okay, I heard that they are on their way to Agroprom. If you are fast, then you could surprise them. Although you should beware that there are a huge group of bandits protecting it.” the stalker then said. They arrived at the Garbage, where they asked the duty patrol where the bandits could be, but they didn't know. Then they saw a huge caravan, dragging the UFOTZ helicopter with it. The truck were slow and old, so there chance of surprise were high.
Although the mysterious stalker were right. There was twenty-three men guarding the caravan, all
well armed but the most of them were rookies. “This doesn't look good at all, we are three against
twenty bandits!” Simka exclaimed. “Just shut up, and follow my orders. A well placed grenade could make that eleven against three.” Rustik said. They took place behind some bushes, and they all got ready to fire. “one...two....three! FIRE!” Rayoji whispered. They all fired at the bandits, killing two of them. The confused bandits took cover behind some trees or barriers. The truck came to an hold, and two bandits exited the truck. Rustik was like a blood sucker among rookie stalkers, as he killed five bandits just like that with his SVD. Rayoji also followed Rustik's kill-count, by tearing three bandits apart, with his Tunder-S14. The group then realized that they were outnumbered. The bandits were still thirteen in numbers. Just for Rayoji,Simka and Rustik's
luck, a group of four loners appeared. They quickly rushed to the UFOTZ members, coming to their
aid. One of the loners was a veteran. You could see it on him. He wore a Exosuit, that was battered.
There were many holes in his exosuit, and he had covered them with Kevlar plates. He held a GP37,
with a mounted scope and a grenade launcher. The other stalkers wore the standard Sunrise suits, the common stalker suit in the zone. But they all held different weapons. They killed the rest of the bandits together. “That was some nice shooting there. Stalkers. Thanks for your help.” Rayoji
said to the stalkers. “your welcome, Rayoji” the lead stalker then replied. Rayoji was wondering about the fact, that the stalker knew his name. But then, things became clearer. “Istvan, is it you?”
Rayoji asked, with a surprised face. “yeah. I thought you were all dead!” Istvan replied, with a large grin on his face. “I see you tracked down our helicopter!” he said. “yeah, some idiot stalker knew where it was, but he demanded 500 rubles to give us the location of it.” Rustik said. “ahh, okay.
Oh, allow me to introduce my guys. They were all former UFOTZ soldiers that I knew well.
This is Gustav, Dmitri, and Yurko” he then said.

They all went to the Agroprom research institute, were they finally came to a stop with the helicopter. They cleaned one of the institutes, and made it their new outpost. As time went,
they recruited many new stalkers. Rayoji and Simka were in charge of training and supplying the new recruits. Istvan and Rustik gathered resources, and established connections to the traders of the zone. Things were going well, and they made a new base out of the institute buildings.

CHAPTER 7
ROOKIES

Simka hadn't seen Bug in a while now. He heard that Bug had been accepted into the UFOTZ ranks, as a High commander just like Simka,Rustik,Rayoji, and Istvan. But then he had left off to the army warehouses for some reason. Simka was sent on a Mission to Yantar. The mission objectives were to deliver some artifacts to the scientists. Rayoji had dispatched six rookies to his backup, although Simka could do it better alone. Rayoji had thought that it could have been some nice training for the rookies. Simka on the other hand, thought it was annoying. The rookies wore Standard issue XK1 armors ( a sunrise suit in the UFOTZ colors, with a added mercenary like gas-mask). All of them also held a M16A1.“Excuse me sir, but.... when are we there?” one of the rookies asked. Simka sighted, and then yelled. “For the last fucking time, I DONT KNOW!”
“okay sir.... I was just asking.” the rookie then replied, with a nervous low voice. “okay, according to my map, we should be about five kilometers away from Yantar.” Simka then said, trying to calm himself down. Some time went, and it was getting dark. Some of the rookies got scared for every mutant howl that sounded. “For gods sake, its just fucking dogs man!” Simka yelled. They finally
arrived at Yantar, which made the Rookies even more nervous. Now, they heard moans and groans
in the distance, which obliviously came from the Zombies, and the Rookies knew that. It was foggy and dark. Yantar was always one of the creepiest places in the zone, and definitely not a place for
rookies. Then suddenly, Simka stopped them. “Hold!” he whispered. All the rookies crouched, and waited for further orders. The moans were getting closer and closer. They could see dark silhouettes
in fog, and the silhouettes slowly became clearer. “SHOOT!” Simka yelled. All the rookies blind fired, and some of the dark silhouettes fell to the ground, only to get back up. “SHOOT THE FUCKERS!” Simka shouted. The battle continued, and the dark silhouettes disappeared. But one of them were lying on the ground, it was twitching and turning itself in pain. Simka briefly ordered one of his men to execute it. The rookie pulled out his pistol, then he said “rest in peace” as he shot the zombie right in the head. They continued to the science bunker at night. Many of the rookies were scared and nervous, and they wanted a break. “oh Jesus, of all the rookies in the zone, I had to get you guys. Look, if we sleep here, some fucking thing is gotta kill us and eat us. Now, do you want that to happen?” Simka told the rookies. They made it to the bunker, where they delivered
the artifacts. “listen up, Rookies. We have got permission to sleep in the bunker, so all of you better take the opportunity, because we have to get back to base tomorrow,” Simka said, to calm down the
soldiers.

Meanwhile, Bug had went to the warehouses, and he came back with some interesting files.
He had been at the freedom base, where he stole some documents from them. “You did WHAT? We have an alliance with freedom, and you just broke it!” Rustik yelled. “ahh, don't worry, they couldn't tell the difference between me, and a monolithian” Bug said to calm the angry and frustrated Rustik. “okay....okay... I guess that's okay. So, what was these files you were talking about?” Rustik asked. Bug pulled out a briefcase, and opened it. Minutes past, as Rustik read the documents. “what?, it looks like freedom has discovered a new artifact. They call it “Gate”. It says that you can teleport a stalker, or even groups of stalkers with this artifact. Its located in the garbage, I think that 's where that freedom squad you told me about were supposed to go.
If we get this artifact, then things would be a lot easier for us!” Rustik told bug, with a large smile
on his face. Bug was beginning to fade. “that's....that's great, Rustik.... I think... I think I need to.. to get some sleep now.” Bug said, as he dumped to the floor. “MEDIC!” Rustik yelled.

To be continued.....
