02. Wild Territory
Rostok Loner Bar, next day, 6:06 am
On the next day in the early morning, when there are no already night visitors in the Bar, and there are not yet new customers, small group of men gathered at the back room.
"Your employer, Bohdan, left a message for all of you guys who decided to help scientist to deal with some problems," Barkeep was obviously not happy with the role he was playing now, but he did it for some reason.
He put down on the desk a PDA, and turned it on.
"Hello guys. This is Bogdan," the PDA sounded crackly. "I have talked to Professor Sakharov, he leads this investigation, he expects your arriving at the Yantar base not later than tomorrow, 6 am. Otherwise, you'll have to wait for the next day, when Military will finish their regular cleaning of the territory from the mutants. And one more night in the Wild Territory... I don't have to tell you what that means. You are not first day here.
Getting through Wild Territory might be not easy, since it hasn't been cleaned for 3 days as Duty patrol reported.
I know guys you have been there countless time for your own. But now we are quite interested in getting you to Yantar base in safety. So, my suggestions to you is to slip into the Yantar territory till dusk. No fight, no loot, no stop without any absolute necessity, be on your guard. Move one by one using any cover. Be ready for everything.
In the first yard Duty sentries are guarding, there shouldn't be any problem. But from that covered brick way you will be on your own.
Unfortunately, I have to leave Duty base right now. It's urgent.
Professor Sakharov will give you further instructions.
I'm looking forward to see you soon at Yantar scientific base. By."
02-1. 6:33 am. You have entered in Wild Territory. It was still dark, right before dawning. Rain has stopped. It's a bit muddy. In front of you is rusty, broken KAMAZ. It's pretty quiet, seem no movement around here.
/Ready? Move on. By the way, I have not know yet some of your current equipment./
"Well, stalker, think we'll live through this, eh?"
