Log being spammed with "Current[0]->sun_dir"

Okay, so I have this problem... My log is simply being spammed with:

Current[0]->sun_dir (0.808504,0.500000,0.310356)
Current[1]->sun_dir (0.808504,0.500000,0.310356)
CurrentEnv.sun_dir (0.808504,0.500000,0.310356)
current_weight 0.481646
mpower 0.000000

with different numbers ofcourse... it just keeps repeating and the log gets massive and slows everything down. I think it has something to do with the position of the sun? Has anyone ever experienced this before and perhaps knows a fix?

Thanks

With OGSE mod it's natural. It's some kind of debug message, as the code forces the sun to go in the right direction. Just ignore it.

Yeah, the engine is complaining about an unexpected value for sun_dir.

This might not be relevant to your specific problem, but for what it is worth:

I recall fixing a similar sun_dir spam spew in another mod with a modified set of weather configuration files. The weather config files have sun_dir entries to mark angles to the sun's position, I think. (I'm not a weather guy; if I want a playable framerate I can't even run anything other than static lighting.) There are a pair of values for each sun_dir line. The first value assigned is the north-south angle on the celestial sphere while the second shows the east-west angle.

What I did was to 1) make a backup copy of the config\weathers\ subdirectory, 2) edit all the original config\weather\*.ltx files, 3) find all lines starting with "sun_dir" in each file, 4) change all occurrences of positive first values (the north-south angle values) to 0.0, and then save and play.

The usual spew occurred around dusk or dawn times in the mod I was playing, and that corresponded to the positive values, which made it relatively easy to find. While the fix keeps the sun from dropping below the horizon, I'm thinking you probably won't see it at the horizon.

Still, the original changes are intended for dynamic lighting so there may be an issue. You might have to restore the backup and just live with yet another idiosyncrasy of the engine that wasn't addressed.

As we are talking about log spam I have one thats bloody annoying so if anyone knows what the hell it is and how to fix it, DO TELL!

The log spam I sometimes get (and it continues almost to infinity) is;

! Unknown command: 15
! Unknown command: 31
! Unknown command: 46
! Unknown command: 60
! Unknown command: 76
! Unknown command: 90
! Unknown command: 105
! Unknown command: 120
! Unknown command: 135
! Unknown command: 150
! Unknown command: 165
! Unknown command: 180
! Unknown command: 194

This set of "unknown command" spam continued all the way up to 100003! Ideas anyone? It doesn't seem to cause any problems in my mod, its just damn annoying to see.

Saw something about this "! Unknown command:" BS on the last page of ZRP thread. Posted by Lijenstina IIRC.

EDIT: typo.

Also look for a get_console():execute(something) where something is a numeric variable.

Of course, there might be a console assignment like local console = get_console() and the local used instead, but you get the idea.
