localization.ltx?

what files need to be listed in the localization.ltx?

what happens where there are to many to put into it?

only so many files can be listed in the localization.ltx file or the symbol table is exceeded.

When putting all the file names into the localization.ltx file that reside in text/rus folder causes the symbol table to be exceeded. Hence game executable crashes when attempting to start the game.

It appears that only a certain number of file names or only a certain number of symbols can be created by the game.

no that i don´t think

but when a data nam are false or the way to this are the game get a crash

In a cop mod my localization file points to an add_include file in the text folder which contains all the required file names, can this not be done or can you not split them up and put some in an add include maybe?

i don´t know al about the xml structure but i know that in the localitation all new text data must be entered

but you don´t need the string_table_includes.xml i think that was a prototype of gsc

I believe you are correct about having all text symbol associated.

The list of the files used/included is exacly the same for all languages. English, russian or chinese version use EXACLTY the same number and names of files ingamedata\config\text\xxx folder.

The above leads to a very easy solution of the localisation problem I have used for all russian mods:
1 - Keep aside a copy of the gamedata\config\text\eng from vanilla ShoC;
2 - DO NOT CHANGE the localisation = rus;
3 -Select the WHOLE content of the english folder, NOT the folder itself;
4 -copy the files selected above inside the russian folder NOT OVERWRITING mod's russian files..

That does it!. In 30sec you can start playing any non-engllish mod with mixed dialogues and menus. In example above, the main menu, PDA and alot of other menus will be in english. The dialogues with the NPCs will be in plain russian. But that is another problem , or not?
