Editing step sounds

Is there a file determining step sounds? I'm trying to edit New Arsenals and I know the weapon files determine their sounds so I figured there was one for step sounds. I've unpacked NA and searched in the config files and other files but I'm seeing nothing. I'm trying to use cop ao3 step sounds. I like those heavy steps.

I saw that already but I didn't know if those sounds had a file determining what step was used where. For example: the ao3 file has 4 gravel step sounds while the new arsenal file only has 2 gravel step sounds. So can I put all 4 from ao in na or do I need to edit a file in order for na to recognize it now has 4 sounds instead of 2?

I actually have a different question since I'm going to be running the default sounds through audacity and adjusting things. What is the difference between gravel_0 and n_gravel_0? I thought it was for crouching but that doesn't seem to be it.
 
Each word should be at least 3 characters long.
