Knight could see that he was of no use to strelok now. The hand that had the Desert eagle started to lift, by pure reflex alone Knight pulled out a flashbang and removed the pin, throwing it at the legendary stalker and covering his eyes and ears and ran out of the building. He looked back at the temporarily blinded strelok, now firing randomly. He held up his sig and remembered what he thought, his ears ringing slightly, and realised he should get out of there before he regains conciousness and reloads. Knight realised he had to go to the nearest safe place. The pripyat neutral zone.

Knight arrived in the neutral zone, mercs have had a mixed history with loners, from doing jobs for them when they acted as a paramilitary (2011) and when the mercenaries having stalkers as black-listed (2012). as soon as he walked into the area all the stalkers just looked at him. He walked carefully under the beady eyes of stalkers that just stared at them, clutching their various rifles, from AK74's to L85's. Just as he almost stumbled into a angry looking Stalker (obvious what would have happened to knight then), he recieved a message on his PDA
"Knight, good work. Meet me in the bar in neutral territory- Grigov"
Knight, now staggering from the fear of almost being shot from several different directions headed to the bar, after turning to the stalkers, pulling the magazines out of his SIG550, Vintorez and USP and dechambering the round out of each of them.

knight came into the bar to see a few more (albeit less aware) stalkers sitting at tables drinking. He looked around for grigov and saw someone in a stalker suit wave. he looked again. It was grigov, but he wasn't wearing his guardian of freedom suit he seemed to remember him by. Something wasnt right. He walked up to grigov who had a couple of bottles of Vodka and 2 shotglasses.
"we have to celebrate. The zone is safe once more!"
grigov pushed one bottle and shotglass towards him, knight unscrewing the bottle and pouring.
"so, uh, what happened to your..."
Knight happened upon another oddity. There was a few holes in the suit, and what looked like bloodstains. The nametag was also ripped off from the breast pocket. Regardless, knight Took a shot.
"Sorry?"
"oh, its not important" Knight quickly shot back.

"I'll pay you in a week or two. I am very, VERY grateful for your work. These drinks, on me, take the last bottle!"
"no thanks, im german so I prefer a beer over vodk-" Knight hiccoughed. He never drank much, he was regretting drinking as much as he did, yet grigov drank more and was looking better off than knight did. He cursed himself not being born in russia or one of its satelites (editors note: for those who dont know, Im reffering to one of the neighboring countries, not a literal one)
Grigov just laughed and waved him goodbye. Knight stumbled around the bar looking for an exit, as he did he pulled out his Ipod again. He felt like listening to something relaxing so he switched to "Spain" by Chick Corea.
He stumbled upstairs and to his UNsurprise the stalkers were watching him again. He then got a call on his PDA

"Knight, this is base, due to your location you are being transferred to the pripyat neutral base mercenary headquarters, head there right away."
Knight looked around, it was getting dark already and he didn't quite know where the HQ was. The faint sounds of helicopter blades could be heard, Knight almost ran, but then he realised that it didnt sound like a Military Mi-24. The blue-grey blackhawk landed on top of a long building, it was the end of that days patrol. He headed towards it. The piercing eyes of the stalkers followed him, but he continued, maybe he can find shelter from their judgemental eyes in there.

There were two guards at the front door, one armed with a SIG550 with a susat and the Other with an LR300 with an M203, standard issue weapons and equipment for Nato-Zone Mercs. Knight pulled up his ID tag from a zip-cord. The guard Merc with the SIG opened the door for him. Knight entered the complex, looking around. It was a tan colour interrior and very westernised, Nato-standard weapons on just about every back or in arms, the communications computers were all made by Dell, even the russian posters were all torn down, albeit some were almost engrained on the walls that half of some of them remained. Knight was looking around the place when he heard a very familiar female voice.
"Wow knight. Still alive? Looks like I lost a bet." lauged an american accented woman.

This was good, for the most part I would say you have a writing ability of someone older than 15, there are only a few parts (where you lack description) that seem accurate for you age. Anyhow, keep up the good work!

I have neglected this story... should finish it. Might just add a bit more. (quality may be a bit bad, I havent wrote this in a few months and its rather late)

Also, having played CoP, I will just say that the new merc base is located west of the laundromat.

Continued:

(forgot time last two posts) 20th november, 1:30 AM

Knight immediately recognised this woman. She was his trainer, an American, and one of the very few women in the zone. She was highly ranked among the mercenaries, though apart from a few scars and slight signs of ageing, you wouldn't have picked that someone so young could have already been held in such a high esteem. She didnt like being patronised against because of her sex so she adopted "bishop" as her call sign.
"we were taking bets that you wouldn't last a week. Looks like the Bundswehr taught you well in those two short years," She brushed her brown hair back, which was surprisingly neater than Knight last remembered, though it didnt look like she had seen much combat lately.
"Just kidding by the way. Despite your zone inexperience we knew you would go far. Anyway, we have a job that requires a few hands later in the morning, but as of now you are on rooftop guard duty untill 0300, where you are to rest for a few hours. Meeting at 1000."
Bishop walked over to a nearby crate and pulled out a SUSAT scope, which were standard issue for Mercs. Knight slid the scope onto his rifle and twisted the pins to secure it. It was at that point he realised that he left all his mags and ammo at the bar, but was too embarrased (and drunk) to ask Bishop for some more ammo. He stumbled again up to the roof, checking to see if anyother mercs had spare SiG mags with them.
It was dark when he finally got out of the building. The familiar helicopter pilot was sitting by his bird smoking. Hiding this thing from the military must be very difficult, knight thought, but then he remembered that the military had better things to do, and with the zone now expanding worldwide it wasn't only their problem anymore.
"Admiring ol' wendy here?"
"wendy?"
"oh, where are my manners, 'names Ryan, well officially its Hunter, and wendy is the name of my Blackhawk. I also like to be called murdock, like the A-team character, though no one has because I think Im only bat-shit insane, not a good pilot"
Knight gave a puzzled look to this pilot, who giggled to himself at his apparantly funny satement, along with being alot more carefree than when he first saw him, but when he rethought he only saw the loading master.
"okay... say, do you have any rounds for A SiG lying around?"
Ryan pulled out his survival pack and took out his SiG 552. He took two of the mags clipped to the mag in the rifle and handed them to a continually confused Knight.
"don't you need..."
"oh fuck it, if I crash, thats my own fault. If there are people in or near the helicopter too then they may have time to pull my sorry ass out of there, its up to them, but I don't need any self defence. It just shows that I may be a bad pilot. I may not be from around here but I know that this place 'aint forgivin'. Rightfully so. Thats natural selection for ya. Darwin was right."
It made Knight think again. Is the Zone just another one of mans mistakes...?
"Bishop was talking about you and your recent duties with high regard. She seemed rather impressed. I heard you were in the bundswehr. German, huh? what brought you here?"
Knight talked with him and shared some cigarettes, it made the time run faster that way.
