weapon .ltx files and infoportions

Can the weapon .ltx files read infoportions? I am wondering if different shot sounds for the guns shots can he changed based on an infoportion.

For example, in, say, the .ltx for the makarov:

%info_1_is_true% shoot = shot1, shot2
%info_2_is_true% shoot = shot3, shot4

Or maybe there is another method? My idea was to have the actor enter a space restrictor and receive and infoportion to change the sound of their weapon.

I'm not sure if that is possible. Sorry, i don't know what to tell you. But for sure, it's a nice idea. If it's possible you could use the same trick to change immunities, damage, hit type, jump speed, etc.

Clone the weapon with different sound profile. Have the trigger cause a exchange.

How would I go about doing that? Which file would I need to put the exchange in?

I don't know that it would be worth the effort and I imagine there would be some quirks as a result. My first thought would be to put something in bind_stalker update to check the info portion and the weapon(s) in slot(s). If both were true you'd check for the version of weapon in slot and exchange for the modified one.

Sounds like something nanderson/notanumber did with his progressive weapons mod (despite the fact that he didn't change weapons sounds - but the approach is the same no matter which weapon parameters you change). I'd recommend you'd check out that mod.

Yeah, I'm fairly certain that's the only way to do what you want to...
