How to change weapons positions ?

I've seen a lot of mods that changes existing stalker weapons positions. For example this: http://stalker.filefront.com/file/CLEAR_SKYish_Weapon_Positions;95170

But question is, how to get the coordinates ? I mean I want to change this by myself, but dont know how to get needed coordinates.

It's a trial and error process. There's no way (AFAIK) to do it neat and nice.

You need to open the weapons .ltx file, scroll down until you get under the [wpn_*weaponname*_hud] section where you find the "position" line. The position line has like 3 numbers seperated by comma. The first number is left/right, second is up/down and third is forward and back.

an example:
position = 0.15,-0.02,-0.05

If I wanna move it a bit to the left, a bit down and more backwards
position = 0.05,-0.01,-0.01

I hope Im right in this, if anyone knows more, please do correct me.

The next thing is to set the numbers for when you ironsight the weapon, so it gets centered correctly. Usually this is easy. For example if we take that weapon (ak47) which positions i used just before, it would look like this:
zoom_offset = -0.15,0.02,-0.05

Simply same numbers but just replace + with -, you see?

Same goes for the "grenade_normal_zoom_offset" line, most of the time.

Good luck, I hope I was of any help :\
