Non-exploding NPC grenades?

I have Stalker Complete (with realistic weapon addon), Dynamic Shader's (by Meltac) and the Absolute Texture packs installed and NPC grenades just disappear into the ground and don't explode...

What on earth could be causing this?

This is for sure not an issue of Dynamic Shaders, however I've heard of such misbehavior in Complete mod before and I'm fairly convinced it's a rather well-known issue with a simple way to fix (which I don't know, though).

Did you already use the forum's search function? As this should've been discussed before, IIRC.

Seems very odd. If I install the absolute packs after dynamic shaders then grenades will disappear.

And before they don't? That would rather imply that either the absolute packs are causing the issue, or that you messed up something with the installation of the different mods. In some cases the order of the mod calls in bind_stalker.script is vital to keep things working.

You sure you've merged the mods correctly?

Well I replaced that line in the bind_stalker file manually.

Either way it must have something to do with the order in which they're installed as grenades explode now.

You replaced a line? I think you rather should add one or more line(s) per mod you install in bind_stalker manually.

Furthermore, what exactly do you mean by install a mod? When intending to use several mods in one stalker installation, you are quite always supposed to merge them because they are likely to use different variants of the same files (i.e. scripts, configs etc.). Just copying a mod into the stalker installation dir will only work if it's the first mod you're "installing" that way.

So you've solved the issue?

The issue was resolved by installing everything again. It may just have been a random mistake I made some where ages ago.

I added that line :

-- Meltac start
shader_control.Update()
-- end

To the bind_stalker file....? Correct or no?

So I installed Complete, then realistic weapons for Complete, then Absolute Nature Pack, then Dynamic Shaders.

The only file I manually manipulated was the bind_stalker file as shown above.

And I may be able to hit 2 birds with one stone now

Are the ends of the gun meant to be slightly blurry with movement? And I'm having trouble with shadow draw distance in so far as they are only detailed from a limited distance... any further and they don't look so nice. Any workaround to make them look nice and sharp from a larger distance>?

Ok, glad you resolved it. Yes, adding that line to bind_stalker manually is the correct way when using any other mod that comes with a modded bind_stalker file. However you should be aware that the other mods you're using most probably have common files as well what might (but doesn't necessarily) cause issues if not merged properly.

As for the blurry gun ends, this depends on many settings. When caused upon movement only, it's likely to be a motion blur issue. Check the settings there, or disable mblur at all to test the behavior.

As for grass draw distance and detail, that's not my field of action, sorry.
